kabaw ko ani unsay ang istorya sa bus 532 nganu nahimo ni Kinglong ang body

in fact mao ni ang first na Bus (that travels the bacolod-cebu route) na nailisdan ug chassis from traditional HINO body to KINGLONG body

im a frequent traveler of the Cebu-Bacolod / Bacolod-Cebu na route via Toldedo, Don Salvador Benedicto and bus 532 ang byahe gyud na is Bacolod-Cebu and vice versa (same with the rest of the airconditioned units 520, 525, 531, 533, 534, 535, 536, 537, 53

on my frequent travel for the past 4 years sa bacolod-cebu na route daghan na gud ko na amigo na drivers and konduktor and we usually talk during the 6hr travel and they mentioned before na ang bus 532 natumba na sa bukid at Don Salvador Benedicto as it was going down the mountain padung bacolod. paspas kaau ang panaog sa bukid then wala na control sa driver ang pag curve panaog mao na natumba on its side ang ceres.

so mao na ang story nganu na ilisdan from HINO body to KINGLONG body ang bus 532 and the rest of the buses plying the bacolod-cebu route followed the body change

FYI. and body ra na ang KINGLONG sa VTI but ang engine is still the traditional HINO (which is 15 years old na but perteng kusuga pa dyapon). sila ra man mismo mag overhaul engine

they have their own machine shop, pang engine overhaul, transmission, brake lining, tire capping

heck they even have their own gasoline station

    Ceres Trivia

The bus company is so popular in Negros that "Ceres" is used by residents as a substitute for the word "bus"

Ceres took over for ABC liner owned by Abines after there were several cases where ABC Liner drivers wounded pedestrians and then intentionally drove over them again to make sure the pedestrian was dead so that the money payout to the family was smaller than paying for hospital bills. This caused the filipino saying of "The ABC bus is coming run for your lives!" Pedestrians feel much more comfortable now that Ceres has taken over.

Actually if we base it on their plate numbers, Ceres Tours 532 is ex-Ceres Tours 531... Pero lisud iconfirm kay if magrebody ang Ceres, there are times na hasta ang plate kay ilisan sad...

Murag si 535 ang naaksidente sa DSB

    ‘Ceres’ starts
    Bacolod-Zambo route today

Ceres Liner, owned and operated by the Yanson Group of Bus Companies, will launch its new route today in Bacolod City and Monday in Zamboanga City, a press release from the firm said.

The two terminals in Bacolod City, Shopping (North) and Sambok (South), will serve as the focal points to all the passengers who will travel on a particular route from Bacolod City to Zamboanga City.

Two 55-seater non-aircon buses will take off separately from the Shopping and Sambok Terminals everyday.

The schedule of departure from the Shopping Terminal is 8 p.m. via Cadiz-San Carlos-Guihulngan-Bais-Dumaguete-Dipolog-Sindangan-Ipil and arrival in Zamboanga City is 7:30 p.m. the following day.

Sambok Terminal departure time is 10 p.m. via Kabankalan-Mabinay-Dumaguete-Dipolog-Sindangan-Ipil and arrival in Zamboanga City is 7:30 p.m. the following day.

Meanwhile, the Zamboanga City to Bacolod City route will take off simultaneously at 4 a.m. and will ply two different routes from Zamboanga back to the corresponding terminal at Bacolod City, where they come from.

The Ipil-Sindangan-Dipolog-Dumaguete-Bais-Guihulngan-San Carlos-Cadiz-Bacolod City, Shopping Terminal route will arrive at 3 a.m. the following day.

While the Ipil-Sindangan-Dipolog-Dumaguete-Mabinay-Kabankalan-Bacolod City, Sambok route will arrive at 1 a.m. the following day.

Teodoro Maturan, Bacolod branch manager, is urging the riding public to patronize the new route introduced by the Yanson Group of Bus Companies, through the nautical highway, roll-on, roll-off program of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, the press release said.*
