Laptop to LED TV/Monitor

Hi Experts...

I have a question and wants to know if possible ba akong na think...

I am planning on connecting my laptop to my TV as a monitor.. the laptop only has a VGA connector which I use while the TV has HDMI and vGA...
I have tried using the VGA to VGA cable however the display is not that good/presentative.. I was thinking this is a hardware limitation on the video card used by the laptop...
so now I am planning on using a VGA to HDMI cable..?
Question:
will this set up works?
if Yes, will I get a HD display on my monitor?
Where can I get this type of cable?

Same rana sa vga to vga port ang vga to hdmi. Limited ra ang resolution nimo ana basta tv monitor.. kasa gara nga TV monitor ky gagmay mn gud resolutions. Pag monitor kanang pang pc nlng para dako2x pa resolution para nindot..
