Logo problem with black iPhone 5?

The logo and the iPhone word on the back of my iPhone looks like this:



Both seem to have this 'ring' around. I'm using a SwitchEasy screen protector at the back but the ring has been there since before I put it on. Same goes with my Aunt's black iPhone 5 but my matching iPad Mini doesn't have this problem.

So, what is this problem called and what caused it? And how do I get that ring out? I checked the photos of the iPhone online and they don't have this.

What ring? You mean the shadow making it look like the Skype logo? Hahahahaha! Sorry TS, it looks kinda cool though. Is this brand new? How does it feel when theres no protector, is it rough like it was scratched? Can you post another picture with a more direct view? It kinda hurts in the neck looking at it. This is the first time Ive seen something like this. Was thinking that it might be a fake phone, but if its really legit, then there might be nothing that you can do for this.

Yeah. Ring. Shadow. I'm not really sure what to call it. Makes the Apple logo and iPhone word seem like they're stickers or bubbles from a screen protector.

I got it two/three months ago from Globe. And like I mentioned in my first post, my Aunt also has the same issue (black iPhone). Texture is smooth and same with the rest of the back, not rough and no sudden bumps.

If there's nothing I can do about it, it's fine. I'm just curious about it.

Depende cguro na sa screen/back protector na itaod. Ang cause ana kay tungod ang logo and the iphone name are printed at the back na medyo naka protrude siya sa surface. Try other type of back protector.
