i have seen a few tv tuners. most of them are cheap because they can only cater lower resolution. if you maximize to example 1440x900 and their effective resolution is only 800x600 then it get a little blurry some how pixelated. so the first thing i check is the supported resolution. unfortunately most manufacturers leave them out. i have seen kworld provide this info though. i guess it would be better to test the tv tuner on the actual display to know if it is good enough for your taste.
