acquiring knowledge is, therefore, proportioned to the manifestations of the object and to the nature and conditions of the knowing subject.. our power to know God is no exception to this.. some say pivotal assumption of an agnostic generally is that we can know the existence of a thing and still remain in complete ignorance of its nature. the process of our knowing is contrasted with the object supposedly known.. end result of this contrast is to make knowledge appear not as reporting, but as transforming, reality.. and to make the object appear as qualitatively different from the knowledge we have of it, not, therefore, intrinsically unknowable.. such assumption begs the whole question.. no valid reason exists for regarding the physical stimulus of sensation as "reality pure and simple", or as the ultimate object of knowledge.. to conceive of knowledge as altering its object is to make it meaningless, and to contradict the testimony of consciousness.. we cannot, therefore, know the existence of a thing and remain in complete ignorance of its nature..
I agree with you. Because if one remains ignorant of its nature then it is as if you are not even sure if the thing really exist.

    Your logic is very sound.

    giver_bert and dawn runner:

that is Emmanuel Kant. rationality cannot prove god's existence. no material for our senses to grasp on to. but he saved Christianity. by invoking surrender. and faith.

    so much for human brains.

I was molded by my parents with good values, happy dispositions and strong faith with the creator "GOD". Though i haven't have an encounter with him, i know he exists for he has been listening to all my prayers and granted them. I am a beliver and i know that nothing will lost if i would keep in believing in him
