EX-CONVICT or mga buluyagon dris yuta, kay kinsa man saunang panahon gusto muadtog dagat 1-2 years?.... mao grabe mga BATASAN adto nila... so pag IMPLEMENT sa STCW 98... gi abolish to nilang mga OFFICERS & MATES asta MASTERS na wala COMPLY sa STCW 98.... which is a Graduate of BSMT, a DIPLOMA HOLDER ang a BOARD PASSER, unya dagahng TRAINING..

    STCW 2010 mao ra japon, naa lay karagdagang TRAININGS...

    The convention you are referring to is the STCW 1978 latest Manila amendment 2010 and entered into force 1 January 2012.
    It was not referred to as the STCW 1998 because prior to that year 1995 was the 1st amendment.

    I am referring to the COLREGS1972 which the PHILIPPINES by ACCESSION was only last June 10, 2013.
    Please check again your notes.

    Dili lagi STCW akong gipasabot bro.
    Ako lang pud ni i-clear ang STCW 1978 is not an amendment by itself. It is the original convention as adopted in the IMO.
    STCW amendments kay 1995 ug 2010 lang. Walay amendment nga 1998 bro.

    Akong giingon is Colregs 1972 nga ang Pilipinas was accepted by succession only last June 10, 2013.
    Dili man signatory ang Pilipinas atong time 1972 pag enter ani bilang convention.
    Also the Philippines was not a signatory when the said convention entered into force in 1977.
    Naapil ang Pilipinas by ACCESSION only last June 10, 2013 lang gyud.

    Although this is OT, perhaps this will enlightened those seafarers that are reading this information. That is the only intention i have, nothing else.

    Joke only ha . If sure ka bai bahin ani, sure pud ko kaayo bahin ani. No pun intended sa situation sa duwa ka barko.

    Would anyone know any recent findings on which vessel was in the correct/wrong lane?

    Conflicting man ang mga initial reports... different claims of both vessels being in the wrong lane.
