    U.S. existing home sales jump 6.5% in July to hit 5.39 million units

    Investing.com - U.S. existing home sales rose significantly more-than-expected in July, fuelling optimism over the U.S. housing sector, industry data showed on Wednesday.

    In a report, the National Association of Realtors said that existing home sales surged 6.5% to a seasonally adjusted 5.39 million units in July from June’s revised total of 5.06 million.

    Analysts had expected U.S. existing home sales to rise 1.6% to 5.15 million units in July.

    Following the release of the data, the U.S. dollar held on to gains against the euro, with EUR/USD shedding 0.26% to trade at 1.3383.

    Meanwhile, U.S. equity markets were mixed after the open. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.2%, the S&P 500 index dipped 0.2%, while the Nasdaq Composite index added 0.1%.

    This could mean the FED tapering is definitely going to happen. Emerging market economies should be prepared.

    na M.A.D., ang uban tungod man pud sa ilang road widening. wa jud kay mahimo but to sell the property/ies due to sakop sa eminent domain man. so we can expect more home sales pa ky katong mga namaligya sa ilang properties, possible nga mo purchase napud og lain from their proceeds unless they want cash lang which is sort-of lugi ky dako kaayo ang taxes.
    so either ways, maka-earn ra gihapon ang gov't.

    If that is pronounced far and wide then this won't last much longer. However, not all analysts or investors are aware of that. Sometimes those facts due contribute to strengthening the US economy, sometimes it does not. Whatever the news, it will always depend on market sentiment, not on facts. The market is unstable and irrational, because it is.
