The use of the VHF radio, at that given moment, is a waste of time and caused remarkable delay to take action to avoid collision.
Instead of calling the other vessel, collision regulations/avoidance could have been initiated instead of using the vhf radio as a collision avoidance.
There are a lot of collisions caused by using the vhf radio as it cause delay and waste of time.
