i have always been under the belief that the vigilantes are only for show, a sensationalized detterent that has no lasting effect in the criminality rates but impunity and insult to the justice system.

What about the victims of these criminals? Only in the Philippines nga attitude to protect criminals and not the victims. Faet.

Vigilantes won't bring justice to the victims. The just encourage more injustice and crime. In time, everyone will think they have the right to shoot any suspected criminal whenever they want, with or without proof. It will be the Wild, Wild West. Yeah, that will be cool for the victims, eh? NOT!!!!

Other countries outgrew the vigilante mindset and they progressed. Here, we have mindless politicians who want to go backwards instead! Onli in da Pilipins!

sus... kaluoy sad sa namatyan na biktima... makahibaw jud mo unsa ka sakit... ug bisan man lang mako-otan ug cellphone.. sakit gihapon.. luoy kaau ang family sa namatyan... labi na if ang biktima kay ang breadwinner.. maghilak nalang...

average sa usa ka holdupper/tulisan nga mopatay, may lang ug 10 ra kabuok ang biktima, nya mas nanglabaw man.. so dapat ra sad silang i-eliminate.. sa usa ka kinabuhi sa tulisan kuhaon, daghan ma salbar nga "unta" ma biktima nila...

though vigilantes had helped irradicate crimes, i dont think its that big help either. they only go after those small fish and in turn, only petty crimes are minimized. i never heard of any vigilante incidents hitting those corrupt offiicals, or even just those corrupt enforcers (i.e. some citom, etc.). they're not that big either, yet the vigilantes were not able to do something about it.

my conclusion: vigilantes only go after those very obvious criminals. yet for those in uniform and in office, they never care about them.

Vigilantism has never helped in eradicating crimes. In fact they're adding to the statistics to index crimes, such as Murder/Homicide! Cebu is not safe anymore with this brainless zombies adding themselves to criminals in character & behavior. They are all alike! I still believe in the rule of law because I believe in God from whom which those authority to justices is given. A gunless society is one of my advocacy & it is just fair I give a piece of my mind.
