Fun Fact:
The 1985 championships which was won by the legendary NCC team (the last Phil team to win FIBA Asia) was the qualifier for the FIBA World Cup hosted coincidentally by Spain. However due to the EDSA revolution, the team was disbanded and was not able to compete. It's like, our trip to Spain for the World Cup was 'delayed' for 28 years!
