you have a point there...it's true. Personally I would prefer a lot / house & lot kay kung magkina unsa, simbako ma sunog, you still have the lot and if I have a family, i'd rather have a house so i can have my own garden and backyard..

But there are some people who still wants to stay in a condo. It's ideal for people who are just starting, or those who are renting. Maybe those who are not from cebu but they frequent the place, so instead of staying in a hotel, one can have a condo unit...

Also, one can invest in condominiums.

Either way, always choose the most reliable company. Just check the current projects that they have. You'll know from there

I agree with you TS. I also would prefer for house and lot for my own use or when we think for long term usage. Since I'm still single, I started with condo lang sa for an investment. Same purpose as you have, for renting out but as what have colinworkout stated below, marketing is also crucial in this matter. I'm not yet done paying for the installment and soon will pay full as what is in the contract and marketing the condo unit is somehow bothering me at this time. gikulbaan ko what if ma idle lang ang unit. I don't want to have an idle investment which in turn will just be a liability and not an asset. pero if ever wa juy mo rent, kami nlng sa siguro puyo. single pmn sab mi like you. Let's just utilize the unit nlng whenever marketing is really not that easy.

just my personal opinion... if you want to buy a property, better think long term. my friend bought a pre-selling condo unit because it was near his place of work. but now he has a family and they cannot fit in the small condo unit so they rented another place to stay. now he is paying for his condo monthly, plus his monthly rent.

the condo is a good investment IF you can rent it out. but what if nobody rents the unit or it is vacant most of the time? aside from buying a condo unit from a good developer, you have to know the market. will someone rent your small condo unit for 30-50k monthly? personally i will rather rent a bigger apartment for a fraction of the amount.
