And they say she's the mother of Philipine Democracy...

For Pete's sake, she's gargling Sison's balls for years and poof! NPA extremism skyrocketed.

As for the Marcos regime, I'll leave that to my grandfolks, if they say he's good, I'll respect what they believe. I can't even think they would lie to me about politics, I know they'd be lying to me about Santa Claus or a Tooth Fairy, but I don't think they decieve kids about politics.

Bantan-on karun-"Makoy was the BEAST president".

Katiguwangan karun-""Makoy was the BEST president".

I was 3 when Cory took over the leadership.Nothing happens. The only thing I've always seen yellow is still exist.

i need to excuse myself while reading....almost choked when i knew i was right...(but then again, someone will bring up "it's wikipedia...edit-able...blah...blah...blah...)...

Many laws written by Marcos are still in force and in effect. Out of thousands of proclamations, decrees and executive orders, only a few were repealed, revoked, modified or amended.[74] Few credit Marcos for promoting Filipino culture and nationalism. His 21 years in power with the help of U.S. massive economic aid and foreign loans enabled Marcos to build more schools, hospitals and infrastructure than any of his predecessors combined.[75]

yes marcos was a dictator but i don't think that he would have to ban social media and telecommunications due to his close relations with the americans and their influences... marcos inspired a lot of countries with his leadership and formatted their government similar to marcos'.. i think i read about something that South Korea's president was one of those who aspired and looked up to president marcos during the development era of korea. he wished for korea to someday become a country like the philippines.. awa karon, labaw na kaayo ang south korea. hahaha..

let's also note that he was considered a strongman like Marcos. Staunchly defended the South from the North too. It was he who got the ball rolling on the Miracle on the Han River.

Let's face it, in this world there are necessary evils and our rights can be trampled upon even in a democracy.
