Nice adjustment on defense by the Phils on the 3rd. Guards are very active on passing lanes for intercept. Ug nalimit nila ang post play ni Sakuragi with Pingris onboard.

Great game by Gilas against Japan.
..Douthit asserting himself more and his shooting was on target.
..Though Gilas attempted only 8 threes, they made 5 and made it when it mattered the most, breaking away from Japan.
..I'm appreciating RDO's game even more. RDO had 2 assists on Japeth's 3 dunks.
..Gilas in general was more relaxed compared to their first 3 games.
..Defense was great. Gilas had 10 steals already before Japan got their first one. Japan's leading scorer only scored 4 points, he averaged 18.5 points a game entering the game. Douthit and Japeth were intimidating. Fajardo had a block as well. Norwood, all conference long, has been so impressive on defense.
..Gary David finally scored. Should this bring back David's confidence and stroke, Qatar might be in trouble.
Next game is against Qatar and this should be an interesting game. Qatar is a few steps better than Japan and is very capable in giving Gilas a tough challenge. Going further, they're even capable of pulling an upset if Gilas will be complacent.
