Never get caught calling a black person a "nigger" or a "nigga", especially when there is a group of them. This triggers a whole set of mob mentality.
You can probably get away with calling a white person a "cracker/cracka" or a "honky" (depending on where you are in the U.S.), but never a black person. Or maybe calling a Mexican a "Spic", "beaner" or "wetback". Though I would strongly advice you would refrain from calling anybody any racial slurs.
Compton and Inglewood isn't as bad now, according to my cousin who grew up in South LA during the early 90s. Watts on the other hand, murag daghan ghapon kaayog Section 8. Still he finds that the media and rap culture exaggerates too much. I think no matter how you look at it, mas maka-kompyansa kag suroy2x sa Compton, Inglewood or Watts than most slums sa Pilipinas.
