sa ako nakit-an nga documentation sa National Geographic Channel nga ang ideal age for gamers is around 16-24 (around there) because of reflexes and responses stuff. so the time frame is really small, add to that that gaming is not very accepted in the philippines, so i would say its not good. for now. on the technology side, it always get better, new stuff come out in a matter of months!

I believe this only refers to a very particular game, starcraft brood war. since the game requires great speed in both physical (eyes and hands coordination) as well as mental (thinking and out thinking the opponents... in the case of Korean starcraft pro-gamers, it comes as a reflex to them already... meaning they don't have to use logical thinking to react, its automatic to them, or at least to some of them).
when you talk about wc3-tft pro-gaming, the speed requirement that comes with starcraft isn't that necessary. in fact, if you have around 100 actions per minute on wc3, you'll still probably to good in the game (ex. 4k.Grubby of netherlands). if you have 100 APM for starcraft brood war, you'll probably be eaten alive by your enemies. hehe...
but, you could still win though... it's not impossible since starcraft is a strategy game not a race (as in lumba2 nga race dili race nga protoss or zerg or terran) of hand speed but it'll be extremely difficult at when you are playing at high level competitions.
so when you talk about pro-gaming, it depends on what game. the ideal age of 16-24 that was shown or discussed in national geo is possible for the game of starcraft brood war. but if you play pacman for a living, maybe 10-50 is still a good age to do so.
take it from the pro hehehe
nice to hear nga sa other games ok lang diay ang 100 APM. Lets see what the case will be with SC2.
Basin kung madato nko nya sure na future sa ako pamilya dula nya ko balik![]()
and yes if people will start supporting. like wc3,sc, and etc. having montyly tourneys in cebu.. and also pls support wow lol
wow! your right about this. i just verified it with wc3chart and he can do above 200. i guess i was just mislead by looking at some of his replays which looked really slow for a starcraft player like myself. maybe, just maybe it's becuz in wc3 you don't really see a lot of units and you don't see any difficulty in macroing unit production which takes a lot of speed since you can just assign a control no. for a group of particular buildings.Originally Posted by Jacobus
