mao japun mg trafic ra japun ni if madayun ni ang 3rd bridge gagmay kaayo ang dalan sa lapu2 maayo unta mapadako ang dalan sa lapu2 para d napud mg huot ang mga sakyanan

hmmmm.. a nice idea though, do we really have the (available) resources and is the proposed location really technically feasible?
true it could drastically improve the traffic problem. i think the objective should be to create the most economical design.
maybe its better if we call on the expert bridge builders, transportation engineering specialists, roads and highway designers.
so far, ive read in the article, its more on culture and beautification, that would be very expensive (the bigger the project the bigger the kickbacks/ wastage), how bout pragmatic designs and locations.. (where primary focus of design is production time and cost and traffic reduction, then secondaries are on the improving the flow of goods thru shipping?
as far as I can remember 10 years ago this has been proposed during the time of Tomas Osmena. this is really a great idea but your right John this needs a huge amount of resources ( from the tax of common community ).
unsay better idea? new airport or new bridge? (imo, ang airport mn one of the reason dghan sakyanan..)
Or di pwede ma close ang Cebu strait? para low bridge nlng himoon..maybe lesser budget..
maybe flyovers in lapu2x may be a good alternative.. especially dha sa landing sa old bridge. it may reduce traffic congestion significantly and its a lot cheaper than a new bridge.. though naa disadvantage in terms of asthetics, but for all practicality, it would suffice..
but in the larger picture, i think the govt. should invest on mass transit between lapu2x,mandaue, and cebu city, to reduce the volume of vehicles using the road and also reduce polution (but im really sure daghan mga PUV drivers mo reklamo kay ma kuhaan sila ginancya, again, its political will)
another disadvantage kay ma wala na ng mga dancing traffic enforcers dha nga junction.. maau bya pud sila manayaw. hehehe

i agree nga dili airport lang ang mka traffic. kung huna2x on. gamay ra volume sa sakyanan gamit sa new bridge compared to the old bridge. we also have to consider that the 2 bridges are also our primary access to cordova and the revenue generating resorts
put flyovers in congested crossings.. isa sa mka traffic is ofcourse kanang mag take turns to cross these junctions. thats something to avoid. (one flyover is not enough, it has to be part of a larger system of comprehensive traffic management plan)
a good example is the design of the new bridge, the landing at the lapu2x side, is technically a flyover. where a vehicle going to the direction of the airport from the bridge will pass over the road below and go directly to the appropriate lane)
another items to consider are small old roads and driver discipline. but these two are slightly harder to resolve due to some legalities and political in nature.
wow! nus-a pa kaha ni m-realize kay as of now hastang trafika jud sa old bridge..
ok ra ang 3 bsta 6 lanes and circumference road ug ang road from bridge1-Marigondon.. kana mo luag2x na
maytag mahitabo ni. and if hopefully ang bridge adto sa Cordova mo connect aron pud mulambo ang Cordova. lami raba bakasi didtoh.haha.
