Mga bossing patabang unta ko, naa koy iphone 4s 6.0.1 ang ios gikan ni dubai hinatag ni, maka gamit ni ug lain sim like globe karon sun ako gamit (ambot ug mao ba na ang gitawag nga unlock). ako tang pangutana ok raba mo update sa latest ios? ky naa mangud ko kaila nga ni ingon "NO SERVICE" nya daw prehas iya. Nya murag wla pud ni nga jailbreak

don't update if i were you?why?since ur iPhone was from dubai so i doubt your iPhone is Carrier Lock means you can't use any Sim aside sa Carrier indicated itself. Ok now, Let's assume your iPhone 4s is Carrier Lock so in order for you to use it here our Country. You should buy X-Sim (Sim Adapter) and it will only supports from iOs 6.0.1 to 6.1.2 AFAIR. but once you update to the current iOS 6.1.3/4 to iOS 7 then wait for updates coming from Dev Team coz your iPhone will just work as an iPod Touch not SmartPhone on the time you update.. so bottom-line is, stick to that Current OS then get X-sim for you to use it everyday just like same iPhone out there.. manghitch kug pangutana..hehe same sa akua ron.. naay gevey sim but iOS 5.0.1 ra.. di na pwede ma update ky mawala ang signal. wa ku kbaw unsay previous carrier ani sa US pud.. unsay marecommend ninyo ani pra ma update ang iOS to at least 6.0.1 den magamitan pag sim sa pinas?

If its factory unlock you can update it but if you have a jailbreak, dont update wait for jailbreak update first before doing the ios.

you don't need to update ur iOS to 6.1.3 since the features are couldn't benefit you either so stick at ur current OS.. please refer to my other post (https://www.istorya.net/forums/apple-...l#post15152352) Ok lng mag suway2x ka bro.. don't worry kay sa iPhone if you FAIL you can restore it easily w/o saying GoodBye iPhone since iTunes is your buddy to do CPR for your iPhone.. Cheers to that! Unlike Android Phone.. if you gonna Root ur Android Phone and you did a wrong move then it could be "Bricked" or Sudden Death and take note there's no way to revive coz only tech at service center can.. and of course once you Rooted, means you void the warranty and you pay extra bucks para marevive sa tga service center.. mao na'y ganahan nko sa iPhone kay kung masipyat ka OK ra kaayo no need to worry.. so goodluck, don't afraid to learn.. just enjoy your iPhone now.. once you master basics Tweaks you will enjoy it much more..

Sir ronzkie, is there a way to check if factory unlock akong 4s? Mka gamit manko ug globe ug sun na sim ani kanang giputol...also karon sun ako gamit kung mg 3g ko mgawas ang 3g sa ibabaw pro dli ko ka internet naa pay setting nga i.set pra mka net ko sa akong sun?

If you can use more than one sim or carrier w/o sim adapter (gevey/x-sim) then yes ur iPhone might be Factory Unlock. Now if u want to use 3G u must set the APN first or most of the time nka Auto-detect nmn na. Pero try to check lng pud sa APN settings so here's guide for every Telco's pra mka internet nka.
