Bro, my Pc is only athlon 64 3500+ with MSI mobo + 1gig of memory.. But im using a Western Digital na 160gig 7200RPM 16MB cache 300MB/sec... Guess what its very fast in loading.. I tried IDE b4 and sata1(150MBits/sec 8mb cache) its definitely different compared to my 16MB 300MBits/sec na Wester digital na HDD.. I ws looking for 300Mbits/sec here in cebu pero wala sila even sa seagate sa SM... So I decided to purchase in the states... and now I can see the difference... And I am satisfied..

Pero If gusto jud ka na pina ka kusug ug loading and pina kakusog na HDD try the Western digital Raptor 10KRPM.. I have tried using my friend's PC with raptor.... Sus as in!! layo ra pud kaayo akoang PC sa iyaha.. Its amazingly fast... Pero sa seagate Cheetah pwede pud cguro pero I havent ried using it..

Nway its up to you and its up to the budget ofcorz..

longer loading of windows may be attributed to startup files. pls type msconfig under run..under startup tab uncheck all except ur antivirus. windows takes time loading all these startup files.

run bootvis tool. it optimizes boot times. I never had anything boot faster than my old epox 83da3i + athlon xp 2600. from switch power-on to windows desktop in a little less than 11 seconds. it was fast to start with, and made even faster by bootvis.
