I've lived during the martial law era. there was nothing wrong about it. i was in elementary then, i go to school with my younger brother by ourselves, by tricycle. fare was around 15cents each, my baon was around 50cents. 1 peso of pandesal was a lot. there were less poor people, everything was affordable. there was no real danger for us kids playing outside the house, we sometimes reach the farthest part of our area and still come home in one piece. when i was in grade 6 my mom use to let me travel for 4hrs by bus by myself to go to my aunts place for vacation. imagine how safe it was then. and for the better part, we lived in Cotabato City. it was the best years of my life. if ever i can go back and do that all over again. i will definitely do. Now that i have kids of my own, i wont even let them go out on their own. kids kill kids out there. there are so many beggars and hungry people on the streets. my kids pity them a lot. education is really expensive now. both parents have to work hard for the family. less family bonding time nowadays we even work on weekends, not unlike when i was a kid. the martial law time! the best time. now how bad was you martial law time??

I won't name my sources, but people who worked for intelligence during that time knew the real score. And their version is way different from what the mainstream people know. It was smart of them to move overseas should they decide to tell the truth they would just be bludgeoned by the media and eventually killed for spilling it out.

Ask some people who worked in ISAFP, JUSMAG, PC(Philippine constabulary), and US embassy. Other notable figures who actually knew what was going on were FVR and Enrile. Since Enrile is old now and may die someday plus his son jack did not win the elections he will spill the beans for all of us to know. For FVR, he might as well tell all but only from his mansion at the US, thanks to his commissions from all the privatization of government assets.

BBM will make a comeback. That is definite.

i dunno bro, i know that before a president can call for a martial law he has to pass thru the judiciary, senate and lower house ain't it. so i guess there was a better reason why martial law was declared. how many presidents were elected after marcos? a lot i guess. so it's been more than 20years since then. more than 2 decades and still we are here free and clueless, what did happen? how many years did singapore did it?, how about S.Korea? sooner or later Vietnam is gonna overtake us. is it a blame game? or maybe there is really something wrong with the system

20 years is enough testament that Marcos was power hungry and money greedy creature.
