Yes you can be an individual and be gay at the same time.
But being married as a gay couple, that's no longer individualism..that's what you call UNIFICATION of two individual against the catholic doctrines.

Promoting an idea to satisfy someones interest is individualism. To say - "I want to marry someone with same *** because i want to be happy" without considering the effects of that to other people and to the future is INDIVIDUALISM.

Marriage is an Absolute Law set and followed by people who believed that it was given by an absolute being. That's why it became a Law. Theres No psychological or Scientific explanation that supports that Law but it was still accepted by people around the world because they believed it is given to them. Now there are some people who want to change that because it can satisfy their own interests. So it is individualism because they want to change a universal Law for the reason that they want to be happy.

Now you can say whatever your personal reason to change that law but main problem is if we allow some people to change a unversal law for a sole reason to satisfy their own interest, then whats stopping another group of people to also change another Universal LAW to satisfy their own?

Same *** marriage will Not affect you maybe because your one of them, But the question is if in the Future some other people with other interest that will Stomp Yours and they want to implement it to everyone. What will be your reason to stop them?

Darling SioDenz, I already cited reasons not just my reasons but the reasons of the majority. Are you sure it won't affect me?!?! My kids growing up in a society where men stick each others b@tts and call themselves "married couple". Or tainting the mindset of new springs that having same s3x marriage is normal. In my own opinion, i think attraction with the same gender is neither genetics nor an illness. for me it's a perversion. A perversion which have been accepted because it is so common. it was never a natural design. Like, prostitution, pedophilia, bestiality, incest are also forms of perversion that we know exist in our community. perversions that bends either morality, religion and sanity. there was a time in human history when homosexuality was considered an abomination. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)( Leviticus 18:22). Remember, that the bible(old testament) is also a book about human history. It is not all about God. It became accepted when Kings, emperors, Pharaohs and Leaders became part of the perversion. From then there on, i guess, somehow it was accepted and for some part of the history, even became a lifestyle. but always remember its roots. what if some other perversions becomes accepted like incest or bestiality just think about it.

So I seriously should have given every other poster here an infraction. After all, you can have your opinion, but many opinions trip into rules that we have in the forum. While you may be free to be a bigot sitting in front of your computer confident of your ideals on the internet, you are not free and clear to spout of bigotry where there are rules.

I have made this observation many, many times and once again I have to make it again. How does a country pride itself in being Christian, but then turn around an exclude a vast number of their own. To be an unquestioning Christian is to be filled with hypocrisy and double standards. On one hand love each other on the other kill each other.

That is why the forefathers of the United States created the separation of Church and State. For even though you may have personal beliefs on how people should conduct themselves privately, you should know that those do not represent the whole. People say over and over again that this is leading the US down a path of immorality and the cause of it's downfall. I beg to differ, this is what makes the United States great. While the Philippines excludes, the US includes. While Russia excludes, the US includes. Who won the cold war again? While the Germans exclude, the US and it's allies include. Who won that fight? While the Japanese excluded, the US and it's allies included. Who won that fight? While the Philippines excludes today, the Japanese include ... where is the Philippines now? You had the same chances and even more chance to be a leading country in Asia, how did Japan, a country bombed to shit get it's leg up on you?

While Americans might personally disagree that marriage is for man and woman, there are enough Americans that know their personal feelings are inconsequential when another person's rights are on the line. That is how democracy works.
