    Announcement:

    The LTO 7 has just received a Memorandum dated 27 June 2013 addressed to all regional directors, assistant regional directors, heads of district offices/ extension offices and all employees concerned Subject: Repeal of Mandatory Drug Testing for Issuance of Driver's Licenses which is quoted as follows:

    "Section 19 of Republic Act No. 10586, otherwise known as the "Anti Drunk and Drugged Driving Act Act of 2013" has expressly repealed the conduct of mandatory drug testing under subparagraph (a)Section 36 of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002).

    Pursuant thereto, applicants for new and /renewal of driver's license are no longer required to present certification that he/she has undergone a mandatory drug test and indicating thereon that he /she is free from the use of dangerous drugs effective immediately.

    The requisite rules and regulations to implement the technical and other provisions of RA No.10586 will be finalized and submitted to the Department of Transportation and Communications.

    Nindot jud tong naay Drug Test para nako .... peligro aksidente ug ang Driver sabog kaau way tugpa, patoyang nalang man pud na sila ug suyop kay wala na Drug Test ...

    Mawalaan napud ang ginagmay negosyo mga Drug Testing Center ...

    wa lang ka kibaw unsa-on pag likay sa drug test mao naka ingon ka ana.... bisan pag ni suyop silang day before.. naay ways para dili ma detect sa urine.. most of the addicts knows how...

    Walay ga tama nga naa sa LTO drivers license renewal center oi.. Pero ari ka sa kalsada pwerting daghana driver taxi, jeep, bus nag kagot ang wisdom tooth.

    Mao nga abolish mandatory drug test, and enforce nationwide roadside random drug test sa mga Public utility drivers. Ug gusto gyud ang goberno maka dakop ug ga tama.

    maipa... pero siguro pasaka-an gamay ang bayad renew sa license para budget sa mas daghang random drug test maoy solution siguro ani... or if naay masakpan possitive na siguro sila kuha funds para ana?

    maro manang mga adik2 before magpa drug test mo inum mana silag tambal pa as if nga nasakit sila and mao toy e reason nga tambal nganung mag positive mayra pod nang walay drug test sakto jud si sotto it's just a waste of money kay maka evade man lang g.hapon ang mga adik2 nga driver.
