bayantel's only concern is your connection from your end to their servers. how bout our connection going to different servers?
Hehe. Nice question AMD_infinium05. Please be reminded that the internet is a collection of interconnected computers and servers worldwide. Bayantel nor other Telcos is just your medium to be able to connect to those servers. Local telcos can only guarantee what is inside their network. Outside of it is already public, a collection of millions of public and private networks, servers, computers, routers and applications. It's just similar to the private network in your office, when you use the public internet to send an email or a file to another company, would you still have access or authority unto that company's private network?

Good to hear that. No worries bro. Don't hesitate to bring out your concerns here. These are the kind of things we need to help us monitor our service. Mr. Macapobre right? Thanks for the feedback.

well i have average 180-230ms latency from our home globe broadband dsl going to pldt. based on tracert, packets have traversed singapore before it can reach pldt's network. yet i get good latency with 19 hops from my end to pldt.com.ph

in the office i got the worst connection tracert shows 14 hops from our bayantel going to pldt and i get a bad latency.

im not making stories, i can post tests here if someone would ask to.. in the office, mahurot nalang akong oras bantay sa reliability sa internet connection namo, wala nakoy mahuman laing work.hehe. I really got frustrated for the last 3 weeks with bayantel. although yes CSDIP responds quickly, but problems are recurring, kalas oras, affects productivity and work,

cge lang balik balik pangayo ug pingtests and tracerts, worst, in a stand alone setup.... so i have to disconnect everyone from the internet just for the sake of that freaking tests... i have to halt few people's work to make that report...

there was one chance that we talked about of pulling out from bayantel, and all our recommendations with other companies, if not because of CSDIP's quick response we have already got another line from a different provider

whether you like it or not, ISP is responsible of ensuring good connectivity within its private network,,, and the network going out..

unsa man pulos Internet Service Provider if the only guarantee we get is within the ISP's network? mura ra mana dako nga LAN.

Domestic latency should only be around 30-50ms. Since walay peering ang PLDT domestically, maong niadto pa sa Singapore imong route instead of direct Manila.

question is, how do you guarantee a network outside your network? the internet is not just a big LAN, it's an interconnection of different networks globally.

YES if its direct peering but NOT... and that latency is reasonable..

    unlike Bayantel to PLDT....
