@newbie, I think you're overreacting. Let me re-post that statement that got your blood boiling

If you read my statements with a cool head, you'll see that I'm merely sharing what I've read from a book. It's very clear in my original post that I'm not doing any blaming.

Ok, you have lifted your statements against Mr James Caroll's book -- a Roman Catholic dissident (protester) which makes him Protestant actually, like you.
By lifting something from a book written by an ex-Catholic priest makes me a Protestant? This is an example of a non-sequitur. Very juvenile logic.

I would have to disagree on the part regarding the Vatican's condemnation of the Final Solution or the Shoa. That is an entire subject for debate in itself. Pope Pius XII didn't ever publicly mentioned the Jews, the gas chambers nor the Final Solution in clear terms. The best he said was this address to a College of Cardinals on 2 June 1943: He expressed compassion to "those who have turned an anxiously imploring eye to us, tormented as they are, for reasons of their nationality or descent, by major misfortunes and by more acute and grave suffering, and destined sometimes, even without guilt on their part, to exterminatory measures." Again, no mention of the Jews, the gas chambers nor the Final Solution. It's not even a statement of condemnation.

I would also have to point out that the first religious group to condemn slavery was not the Vatican but a bastard sect called the Quakers.

I would also have to disagree with the equating of Holocaust with abortion. There are certain circumstances that would make abortion a logical option, e.g. if it is to save the mother or if the pregnancy was a result of rape or incest. Nothing is absolutely right or wrong. You always have to consider the circumstances.

NOT even America, the most powerful nation on earth saved as many Jews as the Pope in his tiny enclave.
Albert Einstein, Golda Meir (Israeli Prime minister during WWII and the Chief Rabbi of Rome THANKED the Pope for saving the Jews, even converting to Catholicism afterwards.

For your knowledge, you read REAL history and not pulp fiction.
I'm not disagreeing about the fact he saved thousands of Jews inside Vatican City. What I'm pointing out is the lack of clear and strong statement condemning the Holocaust.

There are writers who would put forth in their books Pius XII's anti-semitic tendencies or they'd point out the fact that not a single Nazi soldier/officer was ever ex-communicated. But I wouldn't go that far. I'm just going to point out his silence during the Holocaust.

Fine logic you have, wise one.
For your information, that incident happened in Australia. The nun had to save the mother at the expense of committing abortion. She had no choice. Either way, the child was going to die. The nun had to do save the mother. You did read my statement completely, right?

    Fine logic indeed.

Accusations without evidence. Where's this "misinformation"? Where's my self-proclamation as this "HARBINGER OF JUSTICE" and "SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS"?

A lot of angry statements and accusations you've hurled my way. What ever happened to the rule against Ad Hominems? Take a deep breath....

Again, I'm just criticizing the Vatican's stance on condoms/contraceptives. While I'm aware ours is a Catholic-majority society, I'm also aware that our Constitution accords everyone the freedom to practice any religion and at the same time freedom from religion.

This is the greatest WORK OF MERCY you could ever do for yourself, rather than staying in the HYPOCRISY of calling yourself Catholic when you are actually not, but a PROTESTER (ie Protestant.)
What next? Call in the Inquisition?

I think the Roman Catholic Church is for the Catholics,
then why Non Roman Catholics makes reactions towards the church
are they affected? in what sense?.
Counter-reactions should be made because this is such an invasion and encroachment
of religious rights, they should mind their own business and we should on our side also.

Such a nitwit deed or perhaps just provocations
when would people learn to adhere what should be rightful,
and such makes the religious hypocrites out there showing how zealous they
are in words in following GOD's teachings although in deed they are not,
    such a fatal irony.
