yeah i did volunteer to do reef check with students from England for two years, and we did dive expeditions around the visayas, the project was called, DUCARE(durham university coral awareness and research expedition)it was so much fun!!
and a kind of awakening for me because it should be the local youth that should be more concern of our underwater scene and its state and not some foreigners, if you know what i mean...all we just need are the proper training and awareness and i know that we have the heart to take care of it.
i would love to do more of it... but theres so much politics going on in this country that it hinders even the littlest progress.
but yeah i would love to volunteer more, if there is a local organization. I am certified underwater naturalist (PADI) if it means something, hehe, but yeah i am willing to help and learn at the same time.
ey bruh! cge cge... lanuza ta november. by then pede na mu travel ako wife. hehehehe... i've seen pictures of lanuza when it's breaking bay... double overhead bay. mga 5-7 feet guro ang waves. hehehehehe...Originally Posted by djsparechange

it's a good thing ur an underwater naturalist. coz i think we can organize something... sort of like a local reef check chapter or something. and we need your expertise and ideas...

back now. hehehehe... wave report @ the end of the day!
here's some pics of the waves on cloud9 last week. this is on a good day. twas prolly maxing out at 4 ft. best for grommets and beginners... it was a fun wave. very dependent on the tide though. best to catch it when the tides are coming in... that way the tide flow puts more power and volume on the incoming swells.
