Hi, I want to add some info about this company since my wife works here. She has been with the company for more than 1 year now. QQ English is constantly expanding, as I've heard they are occupying 3 floors at Skyrise 4 with a planned occupation of another floor. Their students are mostly Japanese but they are expanding the markets to cater other nationalities like Koreans, Taiwanese, Chinese, Thais and even Europeans.

My wife started as an online teacher with an afternoon shift. At first, I had doubt in this company because the salary is low, their starting is 8000Php only for first time teachers. But they have incentives for attendance and number of students, they offer training; TESOL and TOEIC training are free and certificates are given after your first year in the company. You can use these certificates to apply abroad as teacher in the future. They do accept new grads and undergrads with teaching background. On her first 3 months, my wife was with the online team but back then they were starting to set offline teaching(meaning one-on-one teaching, face to face inside an enclosed cubicle). Luckily, my wife got transferred, she is passionate about teaching and the management can see those traits and will reward you for it. After another 3 months in offline teaching she was then promoted to handle a small team as a Team Lead. She was supervising as well as teaching during her shifts. She has met a handful of students some of who is still her friends even when they have already finished their course and keeps constant communications online. Some of the perks I can say is that when you are friendly and accommodating with their students, they will invite you to go lunch or dinner with them and on some occasions, party with them. I was even included in some of these gatherings and get to meet her students as well. Just recently, my wife was promoted again now as a Development Trainer. I all happened in just over a year and I couldn't be any happier. So, if your passionate about teaching, this can be the best start for you.

I just want to clarify some things here, about TESOL AND TOEFL certificates... They never had a training certificate. Trust me, I've been here for too long. It's a mandatory to take TESOL but it's not accredited to any personal purposes. Others might thought that QQENGLISH is offering TESOL AND TOEFL trainings with a 120 hr certification, well it's not, TESOL is mandatory for this company by TESDA but mind you, not all teachers have taken this because it's USELESS. They may tell you to take the free training but they will never give the certificate for the fact that they know teachers will use this outside the company's purposes. You are not trained but rather they will only and simply ask you to take the exam without any feedbacks.

TOEFL, not all employees are obliged to attend the training unless you are task to teach this for a special course but the training is not that intensive as IELTS. The trainings usually take one week only and the trainers are just the fellow teachers (who aren't even licensed to teach IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC).

ONE WEEK is not enough for you to be trained if you'll be teaching. They do it for the sake of marketing but to think it seriouslyy, all of those trainings under this company are not intensive.

Typical Japanese company in Philippines diay japon. Low salary, bogus 'training', etc. Is there a 'training' bond?
