I am fan of the law but i think the fines was extremely high considering the paychecks in Philippines. The penalties for making accidents when drunk i totally agree on. Don't drink alcohol and drive motorized vehicles. So then you should get fined biig time so you don't ever drive again. At least not drunk.

In my country we got those fines for driving drunk as the suggestion says, but if you drive under the influence of drugs you go to jail. And i believe its a good thing it cleans up the roads from people who should not be driving while influenced.
