The 2nd picture you posted was 1024x768 raman bai (possibly 1366x768 ang max resolution sa laptop, but 1024x768 ra ang nakaset na resolution sa game)

Sa akong pagsabot lang, 1920x1080 on a 17' compared to 1920x1080 on a 14' pareho ra. It's just that imong display sa 17' is "blown-up" so mas maklaro, etc.

Oh, my bad. Gi google ra nako ang picture. Lol. Pero that's how my brother's screen looked like compared to my screen sa previous picture.

In games with UI scaling bai, will resolution still matter? Or di na kay pwede ra nimo ipa gamay ang UI?

MMO player man gud ko, nia from experience ang 1920x1080 dako ug advantage since wide view and mas maka kita ka sa action.

mas huot sa 14" kay lesser man iya space in terms of pixels. the more the pixels, the smaller the ui will be (relative to screen size), but can accommodate more icons/images.

Ah I see. So if ang 14' kay hypothetically 1920x1080 sad, same proportion ra dapat na sa 17' na 1920x1080 sad? Pero smaller screen to fit in lang jud. Kuha na =)

Naka sulay na mo ug compare sa 1600x900 and 1920x1080 sa gaming?

^ ako bro, yes, naa ko study ana nila using a 20" (1600x900 native resolutioin) and 27" (1920x1080 native resolution) monitors... then nag naa pud using the 27" for the 2 resolutions... mao nang ning comment ko na 15 fps "minimum" ang difference nila sa game... tua lang sa Shanghai akoang data... took the study using Crysis 3... at "low-medium" quality preset... GPU was a Maxsun GTX 650 2GB on a G840 (8GB ram)...

but again, depende na sa game... naa'g mga games na tag-as kaayo ang fps difference nila...

    Thanks bro!

Wow, dako dako na ang 15 FPS ha, especially if its along the lines of 20 to 35 FPS, big difference nana para nako.

Murag I'm most likely still going with the 17' kay the Pro has the ethernet port man gud! Hassle na sa 14' if mu gamit pa ko adapter. -1 USB port dayun na.

Pero the stronger the GPU, the lesser the FPS difference ba? Or mas mu taas lang gihapon ang 1600x900 by approximately 15 FPS?

"15% fps" minimum difference when i made a benchmark on the GTX 660 Ti SLI on the said resolutions then "15 fps" minimum was the difference on the GTX 650... i was wondering what the number "15"... signifies... maybe, it is purely coincidence... hehehe... maybe, its because the number 15 is divisible by "3"... which is the series number of the game that I used on the benchmark... the Crysis 3... bwahahaha...

linear performance difference na sila... bisan pa stronger GPU, the same lang gihapon ang performance nya per resolution. the higher the resolution, the faster is the fps... mag exponential performance difference na sila once i-crank up ang game setting to "Ultra or Very High" Quality presets then heavy and anti-aliasing (AA)... like 4xMSAA or higher... mag ka taas ang resolution, magka less ang fps... pero, in stonger GPU, dili maka bantay ang atoang mata sa fps difference nila... only the benchmark software will do lang...

    Hahaha sobraan naman na bro!

Pero agree, if maka 40-50 constant and stable FPS na ko on a 1920x1080, lipay na

Libog jud ko da. Better FPS on a 14' or more pixels on a 17'. Haha.

17" monitor bro ang palita... kay kun 14", mag "what if" man ka... so, mo gasto napud kay mag ilis to 17"...

One of the big issues with the 14' is the lack of an ethernet port, which would need me to purchase another adapter and use a USB port just for the internet.
That is definitely something significant to consider.

    Processor versus slightly stronger processor
    The difference wouldnt matter real-time

    .66 inches versus .88 inches
    Sleek huh

    $1,999 vs $2,499
What do you suppose are you paying for the extra 500 quids?

Notice mine having more room for windows and such? While his is cramped up. Should I expect this if I were to go to a 14'?
His has less room not because of the resolution but because of the screen ratio. The sides were cut to adapt to a 4:3 ratio while the game was more likely rendered on 16:9 terms. You should NOT expect this with the 14" as it is the same ratio as the 1080p. You should be looking at exactly the same image. The size of the screen wouldnt affect the display image as a 50" 1080p Plasma would have the same image as a 15.6" 1080p LED.
