I still believe there will be a new race. Blizzard said they listen and do what fans expects from their products. Since Diablo 2, they have been adding a new playable race/character. I think they know thats one of the fans' wants. They spoiled us with 2 new races in WC3, remember it was supposed to be even 6, for sure they have thought on giving us just one. It wont unbalance or destroy the essence, cuz if thats the case, are we to expect only 3 races for SC3 and so on?

I can see them announce the 4th race on E3 this July. I could be wrong about it, but hey, lets just wait and see. Ever since WC3 was announced, I visited their forums and site daily and I know enough they dont announce everything until in the final stages of beta. Even in beta, lots of changes were made.

starcraft's hardcore fans are the ones still playing the game up until now... they are the ones who don't just play it, they try to play competitively with it. South Koreans are the majority of these people. so, if you were blizzard, you already know that this game isn't just a game for many of it's hardcore fans. it's a living for some even. with this in mind, they wouldn't even try to endanger the competitiveness brought about by the game balance (which is almost perfect but still needs a little more balancing if you ask me) since this is what brought the game to what it is today.

if you have read enough from the forums, didn't you read anything about what they focused on during the development? have you heard, read or seen any new information from blizzard's world wide invitational? i doubt you have.....

but hey! we all just want this game to be out! so bring it on sc2!

I just saw the gameplay videos and the trailer. I absolutely love SC2. Problem is, I'm switching to a Mac and that's going to put a serious hole in my wallet. ;D

So youre saying that Blizzard is not up to the challenge and rather play it safe? They gambled with WC3, and it worked out, there are still manny people playing it daily in Battle.net. So in your theory, StarCraft 3, 4, etc... will always have 3 races for competitive reasons? Even if they put a new race, or Hell, even 10, people, even the Koreans will still buy it. And whats your basis that I didnt read anything? It just furthers proves my point, Blizzard always have surprises(many) from the time they announced the game til the final stages of the beta, and they dont announce everything in day 1.

Just cuz they said something doesnt mean its written in stone... So when Blizzard announced StarCraft: Ghost to be released in LATE 2003, did you argue to other people that its the final date and not to doubt it. Or that when they first announced WoW, it only have 3 races, that its final? lol

In video games, esp. in RTS: new sequel = new content(races, etc.) not just a graphical upgrade with new units. So WC3 would be better if they sticked with 2 races to balance it?

And oh, you doubt I read the forums/news? What makes you say that? Cuz I dont agree with what you say or dont take everything word for word? Why is it when people argue, they try to pull a personal attack? lol

anyway, pwede pusta-anay ta sir Php 500 lang lingaw2 bah... akong bet kay walay new race nga playabe on MULTIPLAYER (but not necessarily on campaign). imong bet kay naay new race (regardless of the number of new races) that is playable on multiplayer (not just on campaign). unsa man sir? basta atong gi-estoryahan kay starcraft 2 ra ha walay labot starcraft 3, 4, 5, up to starcraft 100.
