    Default DDR3 Compatibility

Ask lng ko sa mga experts kai di pa ko sweto sa DDR3...
    naa ko laptop nga ang mobo supports upto 4GB DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600/PC3 10666/PC3 10700)

Question: if naa ko DDR3 1600 (PC3-12800S) if ibutang sa ako mobo
    > will it function?
    > will it clock down to 1333 speeds?
    is it similar to
    - pairing 800 DDR2 with a 677 DDR2 (the 800 clock goes down to 667 to match)
    - pairing a USB 3.0 device to a USB 2.0 port
    - plugging a PCIE 3.0 device to a PCIE 2.0 slot

    > IF ever mo work will it have a negative effect in the perfomance
(*note: I don't mind if the DDR3 1600 speed clocks down to match the lower 1333 clocked ram i have since "that" 1333 lowered speed is the maximum for the mobo)

inquiry ko ni kai kita ko ug cheap na DDR3 kai pwerte mahala sa uban...
salamat sa inyung expertise/comments/opinion and knowledge mga masters... i am here to learn!

1333mhz support ra TS? If yes, 1600 > 1333 standard sa imong mobo. No negative effect, sama ra ng gamit ka ug 1333mhz RAM.

most of the time it will work... but depende pud na sa laptop/RAM combination... it's not 100% guaranteed... suwayi nalang arun mahibaw-an... dili bitaw na mo boto...

yes, ma lower lng na ang bus speed to 1333MHz since mao lng na ang kaya eh-support sa mobo...although ang imo memory unta can support 1600MHz...pairing two (2) sticks that are clocked are different speeds (in short not synched) can have performance issues though...the best practices for these is to always have 2 identical memory sticks that are synched and can actually utilize the dual, tri or quad channel features...plugging a usb 3.0 device to a usb 2.0 port will work off course and with regards to a pci 3.0 device if it is backwards compatible to a pci 2.0 slot then of course it will work.

Thanks sa inyu responses. I've decided to purchase boss inta's laptop ram...
uu sodimm partly ako inquiry since sodimms are expensive, desktop 2gb rams sells at 500 each while sodimms 2GB sa B&S are price 700-1k.

nka sulay man ko sa DDR2, i had to sell my other 2GB DDR2 800 due to financial reasons, i had a spare 1GB DDR2 667 which i decided to pair with the remaining 2GB DDR2 800 to play Prototype 2 smoothly when jumping from building to building... so far no memory issue man atung duha ka different clocked DDR2 pairs, bacn luck ra sad to nku.

    Thanks again istoryans!
