And the list is growing.
Some applications even have versions for different platforms. For example, Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird have versions for both GNU/Linux and Windows (and many other OSes and platforms, for that matter). Opera (the browser) also has versions for both GNU/Linux and Windows.
