Hell yeah to that one. But I'm hoping the Hawks land #1 and #11 and get college mates Greg Oden and Conley. These guys will turn the Hawks around.

Greg Oden is a once-in-a-lifetime center that will impact the game in ways that Shaq did more than a decade ago. Kevin Durant will be a great player - a much better version of Rashard Lewis. However, given the choice, I'd take Oden.

And as much hype as Derrick Rose, OJ Mayo, Kevin Love and Eric Gordon are getting, y'all need to pay attention to Ricky Rubio. Remember the name.

Nothing in OJ Mayo's hype-and-drama filled prep career should overshadow just how good this all-around prospect is. The name most synonymous with excellence in his class has maintained his status as the best high school player in the country despite the hungry challengers waiting at every turn.

I used to pick Oden over Durant, but now, I would like to shift sides. Durant is a more versatile player and the best scorer in the 2007 draft thus far. He's more of a Glenn Robinson or Rashard Lewis type of player. Oden on the other hand is the typical center the NBA (and USA for that matter) badly needs right now. Oden is both a rebounding and shot blocking demon, comparable to Alonzo Mourning and Dikembe Mutombo a decade ago.

Seattle gave away perennial star Ray Allen and never bothered signing back forward Rashard Lewis clearly made way for a younger Sonics team which looks forward for Kevin Durant and fellow rookie Jeff Green to lead the way. Hmm.. Sounds something like how LeBron James started out his career from scratch with the Cavaliers. Oden on the other hand won't be Portland's main man, in his rookie year perhaps. He's got Brandon Roy and Steve Francis along with him in the team, some proven and reliable guys which could make him the 3rd option on the team. But with his length and defensive ability, he could end up among the NBA's top defensive players even in his rookie year. Unlike Durant, Oden is surrounded by a number of good players whom Portland could run to. Sounds like how Tim Duncan and Yao Ming started out their careers.

Durant will have an earlier and better rise than Oden, but eventually, these two will have their rivalry of their own sometime. Brings back the Michael Jordan-Patrick Ewing rivalry way back in the 90's.
