StarCraft 2 will have no unit selection limit, which should please or enrage StarCraft purists. The game has been in development since 2003, and may have been further along had World of Warcraft not impacted the development process to a degree. Today, StarCraft 2's development team is around 40 members strong, with several other teams around Blizzard helping out here and there.

i think iyang pasabot is selection number.. not unit cap.. before it was at max of 12 unit per group.

i see no possibility for a new race.. protoss-zerg hybrid seems wrong. since Keriggan controls all of the Zerg. that bitch.

They will have a new race. Trust me on this. They want to give news slowly. Why wont they make it in par with WC3?

Though that said, dont take the units/etc. seriously... Since WC3 was announced in 99, I visit their site/forums daily til release. They had lots of changes, from 6 heroes per race down to 3. Flying heroes, Aboms used to be heroes, etc...

Finalization will be during beta state.

no unit cap would be overkill.. like RA.. besides, it's the unit cap that makes the game so balanced. who would want to go against hundreds of battlecruisers? or in this case, the new Protoss mothership(?), the one that supposedly creates black holes..

i bet we have to wait till 2008 for this.. 10 years since 1998. lots of time to upgrade then.
