    Btw, assalamualaikum
    Peace be with you sis!

OT: I really like Sufism and the teachings of Rumi.

Let me share some quotes from him:

“What you seek is seeking you.”
    ― Rumi

“Knock, And He'll open the door
Vanish, And He'll make you shine like the sun
Fall, And He'll raise you to the heavens
Become nothing, And He'll turn you into everything.”
    ― Rumi

“silence is the language of god,
    all else is poor translation.”
    ― Rumi

“There is a candle in your heart, ready to be kindled.
There is a void in your soul, ready to be filled.
    You feel it, don't you?”
    ― Rumi

“This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment. First to let go of life. Finally, to take a step without feet.”
    ― Rumi

OnT: unsa ang salvation sa inyohang religion sis?

It's quite logical to supress your evil side believing
that by doing so you would be saved,
for if you do so, your neighbor is quite safe from
    that evil side within you.

technically we're just on the same boat...

    what's the difference?
the Islamic faithfull can say that they don't need Jesus just Allah
Christians say, Jesus is the way, truth and Life..
for you, we need to reached Christhood to see God...
Different ideas, but the level of certainty are just the same...
Ilhan ra na unya sa Finals ug kinsa juy insakto...Lol

i woudn't say nga way hinungdan ang amung kristohanong pagtuo
'cause it actually made life worth living...no regrets whatsoever..
but tinood ba na inyong salvation bro? for the past 2000 years bro murag wa man niingon sa inyo bisag usa nga tinood na? naa na ba? sa amoa naa na daghan bro, but inig discuss ana bro... we are reminded not to believe it, but perform ang dapat nga buhaton, para pud makabalo mi kung tinood ba na or dili within namo mismo ug dili sa experience and nabaw-an sa laing tawo... ang nahibaw-an sa laing tawo bro is dili imoha, dapat ikaw pud mismo ang makabalo...

pareha ra gud sa bike... kung adunay laing tawo nga kabalo mo bike... dili na makahimo nimo automatically nga kabalo pud ka... dapat ikaw gyud magpratis hangtud makabalo pud ka

Converts or born Muslims should at least learn the basics. Like assalamualaikum/waalaikumussalam, bismillah, alhamdulillah, in sha allah....No point in saying those when you don't know what they mean. The Quran isn't really the Quran unless it's in Arabic. You know what I mean? Other languages are translations (but mean the same thing). For every word in Arabic, in English theres like 10 words. The richness is in it's original Arabic form. When we recite Quran we should have the desire to improve. At my level of just knowing how to read the words - it's quite amazing. It's a benefit rather than a requirement, really.
