Default Re: RADAZA (Lapu-lapu City Mayor) angay paba padaugon karun election 2007?

    ********************
    ARANGKADA - GUBAT SA MACTAN?
(from The Freeman, Arangkada ni Leo Lastimosa)

    * Gilangay-langay sa way igong hinungdan sa Lapu-Lapu City Hall and building permit sa iyang condominium project sud sa tulo ka buwan maoy hinungdan nga wa ning kaabot sa target nga mao untang miaging Asean Summit ug nawad-an og panginabuhi ang 400 niya ka trabahante;

    * Si Mayor Radaza nangunay pag-apil sa pagpasa-pasa niya sa nagkalainlaing departamento ug pagbalik-balik niya pagkuha sa giyak-an nga mga dokumento, ug;

    * Samtang wa gyod mobungat ang mayor pagpangayo og kuwarta, kumbinsido si Pelaez nga way laing katuyoan ang pagpanghasi nga iyang nahiagoman.

Default Re: RADAZA (Lapu-lapu City Mayor) angay paba padaugon karun election 2007?

According the reliable sources, one of the suspended officials from Laoulaou got a new SUV right after the ASEAN summit. Ever wondered where he got the money to bought it came from? Seems like a very difficult question to figure out.

Radaza is been widely known to hardly affixed his signature on documents without the so called SOP (in other words bribe money). Businessman/Suppliers in Lapulapu can attest to this. Have we ever asked why Radaza easily signed the POWE?

To recall, I think in the 1970s (correct me if I'm wrong) there was also this 80 million (more or less) DPWH scandal involving ghost road projects. A lot of officials were sent ot prison for it including a COA personnel. Some are already dead (may their souls rest in peace). DPWH peeps are known to very very very generous in implementing multl-million projects. As the saying goes - HAPPY ALL. All persons who affix their signatories in all documents involving the transaction get their share of the PIE, the higher the position the bigger the share; the bigger his role in the transaction the bigger also is his share.

What's my point to all these statements? Radaza's reply to the issue including the people who come to his defense is that he didn't receive even a single centavo. Come on Mayor Boy, we were not born yesterday for you to tell us that Tell it to the marines! You better think another believable defense which I think there is none

And another thing --- "...between asking commission from businessmen and using the city treasury --- Is there a difference between the two? I don't think so

unsaon na lang, ang canvassing pakyas kaau!!! the total votes of patalngjug and radaza added is more than the total number of voters who voted. mao kini ang g protesta nila karun para dli ma dayun ug proclamar cla ni radaza. daghan kaau nag tinga ug nganong naka daug cla radaza. ug pwede pa lang mag people power ang mga taga opon para ma tang tang sa pwesto ning mayor na kwarta ug nawng!

Default Re: RADAZA (Lapu-lapu City Mayor) angay paba padaugon karun election 2007?

I would like to comment on the following statements:

    1. "The lamp post issue on Radaza is very misleading"

I think the correct statement should be Radaza is misleading the people of Lapulapu on the issue, especially his supporters in his defense that he didn't receive even a single centavo. "Wala uroy siya maigo sa kilat kada sulti niya kada gabii sa iyang pagkampaya."

We all know how DPWH operates in all its corruption activities. Everyone receives bride money from the lowest rank to the highest. This is done so that no one will squeal. In Cebu City , Mayor Tom is just very wise that he smelled something fishy is going on that's why he didn't the POWE. He knows that once he affixes his signature on the POWE he would in involve whatever irregularities that would be later found out, and not like what Mayor Radaza is saying right now that "gi-siging siging kuno siya mao na nipirma siya dayon." What a poor excuse for a city Mayor nd my salute to Mayor Tom for what he had done.

Isn't the real reason why Radaza signed the POWE becuase the document came with a envelope of money, or I think an envelope would be too small to contain the bribe money, maybe a bag of money was brought, considering that for government purchases the SOP (commission) is a whooping 30%. The DPWH operatives know in advance that Radaza is an easily corruptable person that's why did not hesitate to bribe him, IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT, AND I GUESS IT WAS RIGHT!.

    2. he (Radaza) did not steal money from the city coffers

Let me quote a previous post in this forum thread and it would speak for itself:

    Sunstar Cebu - Wednesday, October 09, 2002

The City bought 30 boxes of surgical gloves from Basic Pharmaceutical at P2,690 per box or a total of P80,700.
Each box contains 100 pairs of gloves at P26.90 per pair.

Sun.Star reported that one could buy the same items at Mercury Drug Store for only P14 per pair and at Berovan Marketing for only P12.50.

    http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/ceb...se.proper.html

And this happened in 2002, the following year when he first assumed as Mayor. "Namawi man dayon sa gasto sa eleksiyon"

Default Re: RADAZA (Lapu-lapu City Mayor) angay paba padaugon karun election 2007?

An insider from the Radaza camp revealed to a group of Mactan businessman the following modus operandi Radaza have been using during the last 3 elections including the recenlty concluded one, involving MILLIONS OF PESOS.

    1. A few days before the elections ( a day or two), leaders from the opposite party are convinced to switch sides with the reason that their candidate is already losing and for those who say YES they are given money as high as P20T. Barangay capatains of the opposing party are also offered to as high as P100T to switch side.

    2. All members of the Board of Election Inspectors in every precinct are also given a considerable amount of money which the Radaza camp termed as extra allowance for them in additional to the meager allowance given by the government. This would make them owe a gratitude to Radaza.

    3. During election day, a group of movers in every barangay roam around house to house with a list of registered voters asking for the location of each registered voters. Once a registered voter is located in a particular household, he/she is given a sample ballot stapled with it is the money, In this election it is P200.

    4. For those who are known suporters of the opposing party, they are intercepted on the way to the precint and offered money not to vote. If they say say YES the money will be given to them and indelible ink is placed on their fingernail.

    5. In the recently concluded election, the source exposed that the election officer of Lapu-Lapu City receive from the Radaza camp a big amount of money, a 6-digit figure, the exact amount he won't tell.

    6. During the ballot counting which usually starts at night up to the wee hours in the morning, watchers from the opposing party are told that their candidate is already losing and they are offered a considerable amount of money to go home.

    7. Vote buying from P200 to P500 per voter.

    8. The outcome of the above black-ops (black operations) is massive cheating which starts from the casting of votes, to the counting of votes in every precinct, to the canvassing at city hall.

    9. Use of fabricated fake ballots to be inserted into the ballot box (of course with the connivance of the teachers). To prove this point refer to the following news articles:

    I. Sun.Star Cebu - Friday, January 06, 2006
    Fake ballots in Lapu boxes

    http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/ceb...pu.boxes..html

"The camps of Legarda and de Castro both acknowledged the existence of the fake ballots found, said Pablo John."

II. Sunstar Cebu - Friday, January 13, 2006
    Guv wants lawyers in hearing

    http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/ceb...n.hearing.html

"The presence of the fake ballots was reportedly acknowledged by lawyers of both Legarda and de Castro when PET opened the boxes. The irregularities allegedly did not involve the vice presidential protests, but local names."

Default Re: RADAZA (Lapu-lapu City Mayor) angay paba padaugon karun election 2007?

About vote buying: naa gyud na permi, forever na gyud na. pero what i observe sa mga voters, they receive money from both sides.
So, kung kinsa mapildi or modaug as mayor or vice-mayor, okey ra nila. In rating kung kinsa masdako muhatag ug
kwarta about buying votes, no offense pero si radaza gyud.

About progress: wala gyud progress diri sa Lapu-lapu. Since i was a child, karon pako ginindutan sa lapu-lapu kay ari man gi-held ang
asian summit. what i really do concern diri sa atong lugar is the roads. i hope na maespalto nagyud ug tarung pareha
gud sa dalan sa gawas. ang ato man gud dalan diri puro temporary ra ang gibutang, malupyak ra inig ting-ulan. what i
have observe from our mayor's project, naay mga wala gi-tiwas like the roads in basak starting from tamiya, also the
new terminal for PUJ and etc. kung kinsa man gani ang madaug sa election, lets hope na matiwas ang mga project nga
    wala gitiwas.

About the people: kita namuyo ta sa lapu-lapu, bisag kahibaw ta nga puro walay klaro atong mayor, wala tay mabuhat kay mao ra man
atong mapili-an. so, wala gyud ta choice ani. kita naman ta sa gipakita sa atong mayor, i hope makakita pud ta sa
work sa uban. i heard the news about the lamp post pero we can't interfere with it because ana gyud na ang
    politics.

sa plano nila about the ballots.

"money is temptation". maghuwat nlng gyud mo
kung kanus-a mahuman ang iyang term.

what if modagan iyang wife? aw mao gihapon dating gawi. iyang asawa na pud ang madaug. kay ang KWARTA lagi daghan sila na-ipon.

    HOPE ALL OF YOU UNDERSTAND.

Default Re: RADAZA (Lapu-lapu City Mayor) angay paba padaugon karun election 2007?

I't quite frustating to hear especially from the point of view of a resident from the beautiful island of Mactan that they treat politics as a business, that politicans profit from it. What this people don't know is that these politicians are profiting from us and not from city hall because city hall has no money, we - ordinary residents provide the income to city hall , from our very own pockets when we pay our taxes to city hall, when we get our community tax, when we pay for birth certificates, when we get business permits (plus MISCELLANEOUS FEE called CORRUPTION TAX), etc.

It's quite sickening to hear that statement. Does anyone left from Lapulapu with GOOD moral values still left? Not blinded by money who they think come from Radaza but are actually taxpayers money. I would be glad to hear from them.

I remember the time when Radaza first assume office, sometime in 2001 I read in one of the papers that the focus of his admisitration is good governance. Then with his policy he implemented to business men who intends to apply business in Lapulapu, he has a new tax, not VAT, not eVAT either but CT - corruption tax..
GOOD GOVERNANCE = CORRUPTION ? a big NO NO

When we talk about development of Lapulapu , when Radaza assumed office everything is already there. The export processing zones, the airport. the cemented roads, the second bridge, the five star hotels and a lot more major developments. What Radaza did in his 2 terms were actually just finishing touches and more on profit making (negosyo gud ang politika diha sa Opon), it would be a shame for him to claim these existing developments/projects.

"Wala tay mabuhat . . .wala gyud ta choice ani". These are the typical Filipino mentality that made our country as poor we are right now. Or there are lot of things that can be done but we just won't do it, we keep silent because we are part of this corrupt administration.

POOR Lapulapu POOR Oponganon Happy Radaza Business as usual

But don't worry Lapulapu residents, the lamp post issue isn't over. Reliable sources revealed that to be fair with Radaza, he will be given 2 to 3 months to sit as mayor in his third term ( para makabawi sa gasto kay maalkanse unya ang negosyo) after which a criminal case would be filed against him at the Sandiganbyan for RA 7080 PLUNDER LAW. The warrant of arrest will immediately follow.

    UNDERSTAND WHAT ?!!!

That Lapulapu being run by the most-corrupt, money-hungry, profit-thirsty officials is OKAY !!!

I cannot imagine what kind of moral values those people have who think this is okay... (or do they still have any values left )

WE HOPE BEFORE RADAZA ASSUMES OFFICE THE PLUNDER CASE WILL ALREADY BE FILED, HE DOESN'T DESERVE A SEAT AT OPON CITY HALL !!!

    Votes ‘surpass voters in Lapu-lapu’

CEBU CITY -- At least 187,000 residents voted for either Arturo Radaza or Norma Patalinghug to serve as mayor of Lapu-Lapu City until 2010, the Patalinghug camp points out in a petition sent to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

    Why is that a problem?

There are only 148,870 registered voters in the city, the petitioners pointed out.

In a supplemental pre-proclamation petition filed last Saturday, Patalinghug asked the Comelec to order a new canvass of the votes cast in Lapu-Lapu City, by a new board of canvassers.

She also asked that Election Officer Ann Janette Hu Lamban be replaced as chairperson of the canvassers’ board, and that the Comelec defer the proclamation of winners until the new canvass is completed.

“And if such is no longer possible and if the true will of the electorate cannot be determined anymore through this process,” Comelec should declare a failure of elections in Lapu-Lapu City, the acting mayor also said.
