Found this answer sa internet ra pud..dont know if it's true but its funny..

"May not so good history kasi between mercury drug and SM owner henry sy. Before when Henry sy is still poor, he is selling shoes in front of mercury drug store (quiapo branch ata kung di ako nagkakamali) pero yung security guard lagi siyang tinataboy dahil nakakasagabal daw sa harap nila as per store manager etc. So sabi ni Henry Sy pag mayaman na siya at may sariling establishment hindi niya papasukin ang mercury drug and the rest is history. Up to now walang mercury drug kahit saan SM branch satin. Puro watson lang."

According skong chinese uncle, one of henry's family member got sick, of course ni seek help cya siya sa fellow chinese, mo loan unta cya og medicine sa mercury pero g.deny iyang request coz gamay ra bya iyang kita sa iyang business, then walay assurance na mak bayad cya sa tambal, mao to ingon c henry kung mo dako gani ni akong negosyo dili jud na maksulod imong tndahan sa akong tindahan.. mao wala jud mercury, kay for ur family u'll do anything..especially kung chinese ka.
