Wow! There's someone who knows her absinthe. Been curious about this too. You have to join our meetings and show us how it's done!

Add 3 - 5 parts ice-cold (make it very cold, baby!) water to a dose of absinthe.

    Get your absinthe spoon

    Then dissolve sugar cubes.

Drinking Absinthe makes you feel like you're a ummm Artist? hehehe

aren't you supposed to pour the iced water over the sugar cube that should be on top of the absinthe spoon...? anyhow, that's the traditional method...

there's another, more interesting way, i think it's called the czech (or was it dutch...? dunno, i was too wasted... lol) ----> you pour a shot of absinthe into the glass, dip a sugar cube into it until it sucks up some absinthe, pick up the sugar cube with an absinthe spoon, then light the sugar cube on fire above the glass and let the melting caramelized sugar drop into the absinthe, then mix in the water... lovely...

the "rituals" have evolved over time and your way is lovely indeed!

    What now?

    Absinthe EB?

    Hahahaha

There's an interesting, exciting and a bit scary thought right there.

The times I had Absinthe was with people I trust with my life.

Those who have tried it, would you really want an Absinthe EB, knowing what you know about the Notorious drink?
"JUST A WOMAN? Oh honey no!

I am awesome with a splash of bitch and a dash of wonderful.

i think the Absinthe available now is not the hallucinogenic version although there is no evidence that it can be any more dangerous or psychoactive than ordinary alcohol... I think all the infamy that it got was due to the fact that it was the preferred drink of most artists and muscicians and that it was blamed for a murder in 1915. But most sold nowadays are 60% or less alchohol. You have a bigger chance of going to jail selling moonshine than absinthe... but hey it always makes me feel like Trent Reznor in A Perfect Drug
