Well, you will have no assurance then because no one in the history ever lived who followed God's commands 100%. Because of such assurance, God were able to control us not to commit sin. Since you ask, let me prove to you then. Christians are not of the abu sayafs and culprit of the 911 and the boston bombing. Assurance of salvation is not for us as a license to commit sin but for God to make us deserved what we dont deserve.


Jesus said it "it was not so from the beginning". Matthew 19. Polygamy was not the original design of God in marriage in Genesis 2 about Adam and Eve. God did not create many eves. If Muhammad is really a prophet, he must have foreknew that Polygamy cannot be practice anymore today. My mom did not even allow my father to have another wife.

(a bit off topic here...) I'll have you know that the Qur'an is the only book that says "marry only one". Although accepted under certain conditions, polygamy is not a rule. Polygamy was allowed in the Old Testament. In the New Testament Jesus says:
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law (the Old Testament) or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke or a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law (the Old Testament) until everything is accomplished." (Matthew 5:17-18 ) Yes we should all agree that a monogamous relationship should be favoured. But a monogamous marriage never stopped some people from committing adultery!

There is assurance of salvation as long as you do what God commands. So if you were a murderer and had no remorse yet believed in Jesus coz he was your ticket and "assurance", do you really think you deserve a place in Heaven?

Polygamous marriages were the norm even before Jesus' time. Islam put a limit to how many wives a man can have as long as it's just. If it can't be done in a just manner then one wife is preferred. Polygamous marriages had nothing to do with sexual desires. There was a reason for it.

Muhammad confirmed belief in One God. The first commandment, mind you. It's so simple.

Since all men have sinned, How can a Man still be saved based on the teachings of Islam? ask forgiveness?

Islamic belief: Jesus (pbuh) was never sacrificed. There was no need for bloodshed. God brought him up to Him. Jesus (pbuh) didn't die to atone for our sins.

Paul, a self appointed apostle, was still a huge influential religious leader with a new innovation: the way of gaining salvation. I mean, salvation in just believing in Jesus and no need to do good works. Well now, this Christianity sounds easy! Who wouldn't want to be Christian now?

Muhammad and Jesus (pbut) came only to renew and confirm the basic doctrine of belief in One God as the Prophets (pbut) before them did. Not change it.

Islam believes that God will send Jesus to fight Shaytan (Satan)

In regards to previous post: Deeds alone wont cause you to enter paradise. Faith is most important. But in Islam, faith is made up of 1. Belief in the heart, 2. affirmation by the tongue and 3. actions of the body. They are not separate, they all make up faith. The intention to do good is what gets the reward because you find ppl who only do good to look good in front of people. Hypocrites. They're not sincere and God knows what's in their hearts. On the Day of Judgement your good deeds will be weighed against your bad. So as Muslims we try our best to do good as much as we can, to the best of our ability, no matter how little the good deed is.

"And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good you send forth for your souls before you, you shall find it with Allah. for Allah sees well all that you do." (Holy Qur'an 2:110)

As for asking for forgiveness from Allah, there are conditions. You can't just say "sorry God" and be on your way. One must stop the sin immediately, have sincere regret, promise not to do it again and seek forgiveness from the victim (if there was one?). Allah's mercy is greater than sin. When we fear Allah (not fear him as in be scared of him, more like knowing his great power), we start thinking before acting and ask ourselves "will this please or displease God?".

I am sorry if I judge your religion this way. Thus, to say that christianity is an easy religion is presumptive and a unfair judgement of those that are outside of its fold. My father is a moslem but I found christianity to have the highest moral tone in its doctrine. It was even a religion that prohibits fornication. "

Salvation in christianity has already been earned by Jesus at the cross. And a christian will have to work to earn a reward and not a salvation. Salvation is a gift but a reward is earned.

Yes, Polygamy can never be a rule because it was never a God's design for marriage. The Lord Jesus came to fulfill the law and it was also Him who establish the "one woman man" rule on which your prophet has obviously broken in 7th AD. Thus in the New Testament age, polygamy can never be an option to solve adultery. Polygamy is not a rule and nor an option. Polygamy is a sin according to the New Testament dispensation. A man who love God/Allah should not practice it.
