BRT/LRT for cebu? National governent would surely not agree with it as the cost of operating it is too much to bare.

IS IT true that One Cebu vice-gubernatorial candidate Ramon “Boboy” Durano IV suffered high blood attack while campaigning in the third district last Monday and is now confined in the intensive care unit of a private hospital? A reliable source relayed to me this information. However, there was no confirmation.

I requested dySS Super Radyo Capitol beat reporter Renan Alanguilan to verify the story from the Durano camp but nobody wants to confirm it. Renan personally went to the private hospital but the staff declined to issue a statement. He called One Cebu gubernatorial candidate Pablo John Garcia but the congressman did not answer his calls.

I also asked fellow Sun.Star columnist and lawyer Eli Espinoza, who is a golf buddy of Durano in Club Filipino, but as of this writing Pareng Eli was not able to confirm the report.

I don't know if this is a black propaganda by Durano's political opponent. In this election season, it is difficult to determine whether rumors are true or not.

Former deputy House speaker and Cebu City north district congressional candidate Raul del Mar was also subjected to such propaganda. His opponents have spread talks that he collapsed during a basketball awarding ceremony and was confined in a Manila hospital.

In the case Boboy, I hope he is okay and is continuing to campaign.

It is good that acting governor Agnes Magpale has some sort of a delicadeza. She visited the municipalities in Camotes islands to distribute cash gifts to barangay health workers, barangay tanods and nutritionists without fanfare and media hype. Some reporters and photographers accompanied her, though.

There were no long speeches. She welcomed the crowd and talked about the Capitol aid and then left. Liberal Party gubernatorial bet Hilario “Junjun” Davide III was with Magpales's group but left when the cash assistance were handed to the beneficiaries.

It is good also that Davide has observed delicadeza. He is not a Capitol official so he has no right to attend or even assist Magpale in distributing the cash gift.

Had Junjun and Magpale did the distribution rite together, they would have been accused of politicking by riding on the Capitol's program. Walay labot si Junjun diha busa dili siya mag-apil-apil sa kalihukan sa Kapitolyo.
