LaBelleza, if this post is for me, Then, let be known to you that my father is also a moslem from Saudi Arabia of Wahabbis. I have also told this to my father before. To claim that it was Paul who created a "palatable" Jesus is impossible because Paul was not the one who wrote the four gospels. In these four gospels, Jesus died, buried and was resurrected on the 3rd day. His life in resurrection was the receipt of salvation. Proving that sin was settled in His death.

The death of Jesus was God's way of showing to mankind His love.

Islamic belief: Jesus (pbuh) was never sacrificed. There was no need for bloodshed. God brought him up to Him. Jesus (pbuh) didn't die to atone for our sins.

Paul, a self appointed apostle, was still a huge influential religious leader with a new innovation: the way of gaining salvation. I mean, salvation in just believing in Jesus and no need to do good works. Well now, this Christianity sounds easy! Who wouldn't want to be Christian now?

Muhammad and Jesus (pbut) came only to renew and confirm the basic doctrine of belief in One God as the Prophets (pbut) before them did. Not change it.

Question:
Do you believed as a Muslim about the idea that ALL Men have sinned? nothing is without Sin?

- So does this mean that Allah is still the ultimate Judge if you will be saved or not?

We are born sinless but as we grow up, due to all the outside influences and our free will, we are inclined to sin coz we're not perfect. Allah (swt) is Most Merciful if you repent sincerely. Animals on the other hand don't sin. They act in the way Allah intended them to.

Of course He's the Ultimate Judge. Who else has the right to judge you on the Day of Judgement? Only Allah.

There is a vast need of a sacrifice. or else there is no forgiveness of sins. Jesus' death is a payment for sins. This a problem islam, no assurance of salvation. I dont want to be converted to a religion that doesnt promise me salvation.

That is not true. In fact, it was Paul who taught one husband of one wife. It was Paul who taught to flee from fornication. To love and not to commit hatred. Even to meditate killing people for whatever reason is prohibited by the bible. My father who is a moslem hated so much the one nation of israelites. Why is that if Islam is a constricted religion? can you please answer?

I am sorry but I dont believe muhammad confirmed what Jesus' teachings are. Jesus did not encourage multiple marriages but Muhammad even practiced polygamy.

I just like knowing a lot of things. That's all. I defend the RCC when people start bashing it. My interest in knowing the point of views by other religions has nothing to do with it.

There is assurance of salvation as long as you do what God commands. So if you were a murderer and had no remorse yet believed in Jesus coz he was your ticket and "assurance", do you really think you deserve a place in Heaven?

Polygamous marriages were the norm even before Jesus' time. Islam put a limit to how many wives a man can have as long as it's just. If it can't be done in a just manner then one wife is preferred. Polygamous marriages had nothing to do with sexual desires. There was a reason for it.

Muhammad confirmed belief in One God. The first commandment, mind you. It's so simple.

I used to get super defensive when I converted to Islam. Esp here, I think I'm the only Muslim here...or female Muslim at least. I think there's another Muslim member. We stand up for what we believe in. If we choose to, then we can change we beliefs at our own accord. I certainly did. No one here expects to change anyone.

Well, you will have no assurance then because no one in the history ever lived who followed God's commands 100%. Because of such assurance, God were able to control us not to commit sin. Since you ask, let me prove to you then. Christians are not of the abu sayafs and culprit of the 911 and the boston bombing. Assurance of salvation is not for us as a license to commit sin but for God to make us deserved what we dont deserve.

Jesus said it "it was not so from the beginning". Matthew 19. Polygamy was not the original design of God in marriage in Genesis 2 about Adam and Eve. God did not create many eves. If Muhammad is really a prophet, he must have foreknew that Polygamy cannot be practice anymore today. My mom did not even allow my father to have another wife.

For the Jews, Follow the Law of Moses
For Muslims, Follow what is in the quran
For Christians Read the Bible and know and Believe in Jesus
For Buddhists and Hindus i'm not really sure...i think it's still doing good works etc

For all of us, Love others as we love ourselves starting with our differences...try to follow everything what our respective God/gods commanded
For if the God we worhsip is Good, that Goodness will manifest in His Commandments and through their fruits(how we live our lives as Faithful)
and we should let God be the supreme judge when it comes to absolutes...especially Salvation.
