it's for protection from hear loss over time.. so ya some musicians do use earplugs..

i know it's a protection.. namatay nalang ni Jeff hanneman wa jud ko kita nag earplug na siya.. natiguwang nalang si Lemmy of Motorhead wa jud na nag earplug.

earplugs is for people who hates (loud) music. 'nuf said..

depende nlang na sa musician, samok mansad jud kong mag earplug or earmuffs and whatnot.. some develop this what they call tinnitus, which is caused mainly by being exposed in loud music through time, Noel Gallagher, will.i.am, pete townshend, lars ulrich, jeff beck, eric johnson amongst countless others.. musicians are not at all too concerned about this impairment, that's why some of them are not using earplugs, 'coz hey, it's loud music so shall it be heard likewise..
