frankly, i hate touch screen (personal taste...and i honestly wouldnt mind paying double what i paid for my phones as long as im happy and it does what i need it to do...heck i have all 4 6310i (all colors) coz its that good. have its ADVANCE carkit (worth 15k each) installed in all my cars, converted 2 of them to be installed in my room and in the office...been using em for 6 years or something like that...9500 ko, got 5 of them so far...i use one at a time, alternate em for maintenance and stuff, change casing, etc...they just work for me and i dont mind paying for them, backup units and all

depreciate...all phones depreciate...most brands depreciate similar to nokia...this is a fact. not a perception...
most people think otherwise only because nokia sells faster thus prices change more constantly in smaller increments...
other brands may drop prices in bigger increments since they dont sell as fast thus prices doesnt change as often...

hmm, lets look at the p990i...took years before it got released...then it didnt deliver on its 1st release model (mightly full of bugs that its hardly usable/reliable)...granted, 6 months after release, its becoming more stable and usable...to me, too much talk and expectations, late release, then terrible release, thats hyped... id feel duped if it happened to me for the price id pay for it i wouldnt mind if it really works diba

n95 deliver everything thats advertised...it does perform even on its 1st release version...it does have lots of 1st...it is the most integrated phone around in a very light sleek package...and it was released on time...and still no phone can compete with its feature pack today...GPS,multiuse WIFI,160MB+2GB,standard usb,standard 3.5 audio jack,video out,hsdpa,3g,edge,quadband+umts,kenburneffectslide show,dualslide(dedicated music controls),voice recognition,music to any bluetooth headset,vga30fpsvideo,5mp camera, list goes on and on...and it really works! thats not hyped

sirocco isnt hype at all...its their exclusivity model...do you hear much noise bout it?
and i thought you like exclusivity? i tell you not everyone knows about the gold version of the 8800
52k for a simple non-smartphone unit is just way out of the reach for most filipinos.
and they make only a limited number of these 8800gold units.

a treo...thats not exclusivity at all...and its a smartphone with touch screen and its cheaper than the simple yet elegant 8800 gold...
that wide with keyboard...not very sleek is it...not very elegant...doesnt exactly say "elite" or "exclusivity"...more like "techie" and i thought that was your point to begin with? or did i get the concept of exclusivity wrong?

Not to give a wrong impression on your part.. I know that you've already learn the ins and outs of this devices, even if you put a scaffold on your eyes you would still know what brands and phone that would make a user gleam w/ delight to know what he/she would be looking for in a phone, .. and you learn the mastery of de/repairing the internals and giving lifesupports to people who patronizes this piece of device, but... I am not contesting what your favorites mgiht be.

Nokia over the years has gained wide patronage especially here in Southeast Asia, no one can contest that...

Your side of the world may say that all phone's depreciate, and it doesnt matter if its a Nokia, Samsung or what.. but my point here (and most of the people whom I know also) is Nokia products are 'pang masa' phones.. be what you call the 8800 or maybe up to the point up to what pre conceive idea Nokia Engineers are going to design or is still thinking up on their heads now. I would still say that they are a 'tad short of their competitors' and the Nokia phone that you will buy today and say you sleep fo the whole 3 months.. you wake up and viola!! the price has been reduced by more than 65% of its market value for what you paid for originally.

Owning a treo to you might seem to be a techie stuff.. after all if I do recall from a thread here... you seemed to have some trauma for winmo devices... or was that just my opinion also.?

Treo or be what phones you own or purchase gives the owner a proud sense of bragging that he owns it and he deserves utmost happiness.. contentment for what he gets.

Exclusivity is subjective... you of all people should know that..its a case to case basis or in a way people to people basis only.. what might be exclusive to you might not be what is exclusive for me and vice versa...

im basing this on my humblest speculations lang bai.. but, if you go out once in a while from your mighty shop and interview people who owns nokias before and has shifted to other cellphone brands.. you would know for the fact that some of them are getting tired of using nokia phones and some would say it's because nokias are phones to depreciate a lot.. if you don't believe me.. then that's your take.. not mine... no need to name 1 as i rest my case here..

per se, i think winmo or other non nokia brand phones are just maybe hard to sell than nokia ones .. .. would'nt you agree w/ me on this.. ? after all, at the end of the day when you're reviewing w/c units sells most in your stocks.. it's mostly nokia phones that come out as a big winner... no wonder on that why you maybe a strong defender for nokia..

it maybe hard for you to believe but yes i hear that a lot, thats why im saying its not true (spculation lang yan) basing from our figures as retailer/dealer of S.E., nokia, samsung, O2, etc. we get price updates regularly so we have em on record and if u review them urself month after month, you'll realize what im saying

i only defend the truth as i know it...not into speculating on anything...i dont want to defend something not true. i wont tell you they are this and that if i didnt think so. for real...
if its S.E., samsung, moto, etc. i would defend their truths as well
even though i generally discourage flip phones (due to problems with flex) i have been posting solid support for moto razr as being solid performer...
ive given high praises on s.e. k800i flash photography capabilities...
winmo cunstomizability and technical capabilities...and so on...
