Looks like I did something wrong when I set-up my freenas box. Di jud kaayo paspas and there was a time when I couldn't stream my videos properly. Maputol midway ako movie. Medyo ni stabilize nuon after I upgraded to Freenas 8.3.1. Do you think I should reinstall (clean install from iso) Freenas?

    I'm using Pentium D with 8gb ddr2 ram btw.

unsa man ang NIC na gamit nimo bro? before, katong on-board NIC akoang gamit, hinay ang transfer rate nya. pero, on HD video streaming, ok kaayo sya... bisan nag access ang tanan 6 PCs ug HD movies for a day... 10 hrs during the test... wla gyud nag "kernel panic" as what was commented did2 sa FreeNAS discussion board. gi latos ko's programmer sa FreeNAS did2 pero, wla ko naka experience sa ilahang gi sulti... hehehe... maybe, the sun was shinning on me on my FreeNAS box... igo ra man nko gi install sa USB ang OS nya, then ang HDD nko kay 2 x 2TB on RAID 1... pag ilis nko'g Intel NIC, ang ni pas2x lang ang ang transfer speed sa Ethernet... naka gigabit line man ko pud ug tanan NIC sa PCs (wired) kay Gigabit napud except lang sa wireless... wala ra ko mag utingkay pa ug lain... igo ra ko nag "install and forget" nya...

unsa man ang gamit nmo na NIC, onboard or add-in board? bisan pa siguro 100 Mbps ang Ethernet line, pwede ra man gyud kaayo... na suwayan pud nko atong naka 100 Mbps pa ko... 3 PCs nag access ug dungan... puro na run ug movies... no probs ra man gyud sila... hinay lang ang transfer rate like mag back-up nko sa external HDD na connected to the entertainment rig (Ubuntu) if i-compared after naka Gigabit connection na...

ah i see... basin VIA ang chipset ana nya... B-Link nko kay VIA ang chipset... ning pas2x ang speed sa FreeNAS server after nag ilis kog Intel NIC... kun mag install ka sa OS, ad2 ra mana sya mo install sa USB drive, no worries ra ka sa data sa HDDs. then imo ra mana i-import ang volume if dili ma kit-an... then change dayon ka's permission nya sa "Storage -> View Volumes"... dali ra kaayo...
