By doing that you are actually causing more harm than good and instigating a forum war. It's the way you present things. You should present it in a neutral way but in seems that in your case it is quite obvious what the purpose of your posting is.

So meaning naa ra gyud diay na sa individual to do so or not... Will that be considered idolatry too? I've seen these people put on rings and watches on these images... My gut feeling makes me feel that it's just not right. But of course I can't voice that out to them directly.

like what @butitoy said, if you have mature faith, you wont do such things, which is not right after all.

images are just there TO REMIND US -- but if you overdo it, with extreme attachment to these images, it is called RELIGIOUS FETISHISM which could fall into idolatry.
