I didn't make any effort to impress them because
they already have their own wrong perception
about me. However, I treat them with utmost
respect being that they're older than me and that's
how I was brought up... Never treat others like crap.

for guys, at least show them how capable you are, if not financially, at least literally. most parents are impressed when you could ride-on to smart interesting topics (current events is one). Money isn't everything really.. well having a lil' cash would be an added point but it doesn't really sum things up.

Lets put the question this way, "if i were a parent what would impress me?.. " then that would be the answer.

    1) greeting gudmorning or goodevening is given.. Removing one's shoes upon entering the house is a plus factor even if you are not required to remove your shoes..
    2) bring sum food.. even if its a little it adds up.
    3) Never sit down until you are told to.. (uban boys sa ka ratol mangitag ka padaplinan.. ehhehe dili lagi mu stun.nan or ulti.han)
    4) bow a little when doing greetings.
    5) always smile (para dili garbuso tan.awon)
    6) talk with confidence or with utmost conviction.
    CHeers!
