Yes BroMK thanks sa heads up pero dili kaayo nako ma-feel tungod sa iyang performance ug wala siyay charges. Bali kung pila ang amount akong gi-invest equal gyud sa number of units nga akong na-receive. Anyways net naman siya basin deducted nani tanan sa BDO in my case ...... yup, not ideal to invest in SDA right now labi na small fish investor lang pareha nato and you are after a good return
invest in Bond/fixed-income mutual fund or UITF instead...they also have SDA in their portfolio but they benefit from the economy of scale mao nga their returns will always be better than us investing into that instrument directly.

hi makie, can you expound more on 20% withholding tax on capital gains?

for example, i invested 100k on a UITF with NAVPU of 1.00.
when i take out my investment, NAVPU is already 1.30.
how do you compute the 20% w/h tax?

is this correct?
(100k x 1.30) - (100k x (1.30 - 1.00) x 20%)
= 130k - (100k x 0.30 x 20%)
= 130k - 6k
= 124k

Invested sa BDO equity fund last 10 April, pagkadawat nako sa COP it seems nga wala gyud silay gikuha as front fee kay pag-compute nako sa NAVPU on the day I invested, sakto gyud ang number of units vs sa amount sa akong gi-invest. 1.2% dayon after 2 days ... hehe. Decided to add dayon kay basin mosotoy sayang kung dili kasakay. Not to mention sa very good service sa branch ... hehe

Dala lang ka duha ka updated identifications ug usa ka ID picture nga 1x 1 nya answeran ra to nimo ilang mga questionaires didto nya hatag ka sa imng cash nga i-invest ok na dayon. I would suggest kung wala pa gyud kay idea abut ani nga product sa BDO, try to explore sa para masabtan gyud nimo to the max nya less na ang risk kay kahibalo naman ka sa imong gibuhat. To update, 22.28% na ang YTD sa BDO Equity fund.... hehe

nope, it is not exponential / compounded interest.
actually it is not correct to think of it as an interest (just like what you get from banks).

Walay agent ang banks Bro mao almost wala na silay charges compared sa mutual funds. Bali naa lang gyud silay assigned nga personnel to handle sa UIFT nila. Balik dayon sa Lunes Bro, don't waste time para maka-gain dayon .... gudlak

The main advantage of UITF is lesser charges (despite the 20% withholding tax) and management fees. It also has more investment options than MFs.
The main advantage of MF is its transparency since investors are technically share holders of the MF company. MFs are highly regulated and are tax free.
Regardless if its a UITF or MF, go for the one wherein you're comfortable with and the one with the better service and track record.
