There are many factors and not just social media. This survey is actually a good way for the church to examine itself and find out why the number of church goers are dwindling. Then they can find a solution to the problem. From my observation, some people get turned off because of the way some of the priests do sermons or the stand of the Catholic church on some issues. Some people feel alienated. As for my observation of the youth, I think most of them find the church uninteresting. I see some go to church but "ga uyab uyab ra".

@letsee Na hitabo naman. There are more Muslims than Catholics.

i don't think nga mas daghan ang muslim kaysa katoliko karon.

i don't think na aware na sila about word of god, they don't know anything mao nibalhin ang uban nila. Wala silay nakat-unan mao nibalhin sila. So adto sila sa laing religion, unya mo sulti dayon sila mas nindot sa ilang new religions.
Do you think maka paminaw pa tong naa sa kinalikuran? Do you think quality education na ing-ana?
Ang catholic church pwede nimu e compare sa public school clasroom, more population less learning. Unya ang ubang religions, ma compare sa private schools which has lesser populations, so pwede ma 1on1 ang mga students or attendees.
