The key is the harmony of the government
and the people in terms of uplifting and improving
the current state of the nation. A far fetch cry
when what's dominating are self interests and
    the urgency to survive.
We need these so called sacrifice and dedication,
a very difficult medicines to administer when it is to be
enoculated towards a sickly generation stricken by
a multitude of disarray, plunder, and corruption.
It's okay for Juan de la cruz, as long as he could have that
three times a day meal, but it should not be, he could still strive
and aspire to motivate him to make the necessary changes,
he still have the will for he is 90 million strong.

Because the Philippines is run like hell by Filipinos

We've all come across this question one time or another and I am convinced at the theory that because these countries went through remarkable hardship - not merely in simple economic terms or political corruption - these countries went through hell as a whole; they experienced long, large-scale destructive wars, deaths in epic scale, extreme scarcities of natural resources and food resulting in significant biblical-type famines recorded in history. They are fearful of going to the same hell they went through and so, well aware of this dangerous reality they made great efforts to progress.

Although the Philippines had it's own share of hardships we never experienced wars, and lack of food in the most extreme case. Even as a colony of the most aggressive empire at one time, Spain, I haven't read anything that could compare us to what transpired in South America with the Aztecs. The Japanese nightmare later on lasted only for 3-4 years. To compare how things went through here we had it easier than the rest of the colonized people and I think this gave us a more optimistic view of life believing everything will be all right in the long run.

    Reality hurts.
