    hehe, sorry maam. ang nasulod man gud sa akoa utok ang nike free... atots uy! nagpasagad nasad ko...hehe, akoa gigamit kay runkeeper for android pero nakapapalit sad ko sa akoa amigo na nadeploy sa US ug soleus gps 2.0, mas portable man gud para nako ang relo kaysa cellphone, hinoun ang run keeper naay audio cues na maset per km or x minutes, kaso wala man ko maanad magheadset kung magdagan kay mostly sa dalan ra man gud ko magdagan2x. paet gyud kaayo ni kung naa ta mahimutang sa dakong syudad kay walay bukid2x na madagananan.hehe, delikado kaayo samot na sa mga abusado na driver.

    mao gyud maam, murag delikado gyud labi na sa srp talisay kay kusog managan sakyanan basin mulahos sa sidewalk.

    magtuyok-tuyok nalang ko sa amoa dapit or after work before going home para sa ako trainings.
    mingaw man sa April oi, wala may 21k runs for my medal collection ...

    ^_^ hehe, mao gyud boss! mga ultra ra man naa medal sa April na doul diha sa Cebu. Naa ko daganan igka April 21, 21K sad pero wala man medal. Saun sad ni, nag-ayo lang sa pangalan "Safeguard 2XU International Half Marathon", kung dili pa lang tungod sa 2XU calf sleeves na apil sa race kit, dili gyud ko magparegister ani na event.

    mga runner, okay ra mag 11k every other day? then rest ko sat sun? then next week na pud 12k every other day.. and so on and so forth..

    this thread has gone a long way. nice to see new runners.
    @madredrive: kung dili mosakit ok ra tingale. i have this mantra "i don't train if there is pain" which i still adhere to since i start running in 2008. but i suggest you vary the terrain and distance and add a little speed maybe once a week. the weekend is always a long run probably up to 2:30 hours or 20 km whichever comes first. and always take the form with the minimal force from your feet, you force it chances are you'll get injured. and if you have time to cross train to bike try going up hill to busay, it worked for me maybe it will work for you. in case of injury go to the pool and shake the injured part underwater. it also worked for me. i read a lot of running blogs, books and tips and listened to athletes and tried applying everything. well some worked some didn't. i already experienced collapsing after a 5km training run and fell on the pavement unconscious and got 5 stitches to repair the damage to my head; hit a traffic signage post running at 4am and got literal nose bleed, broke my collarbone on a bike crash and crashed some more a lot more the list is endless but in the end i learned a lot. i think my first 21 k was posted here i got it at 2:16 2008 sinulog 21k run, after that i improved to 1:54 then to 1:47, now i'm hitting 1:43-44. but i think that's the best i can do and i don't have plans of becoming a kenyan. i have high regards for those who endure pain, and patience of running ultra. i hope i can go there.

    first week of training is epic fail...

    ran a total of 3x only 1 treadmill run and 2 off treadmill run sa oval sa minglanilla..

    mao ni ang resulta...

    treadmill run: kilometers 4.67 minutes 29:00, mins/km 6:12, calories 310
    off treadmill run #1: kilometers 5.22 minutes 30:02 mins/km 5:45 calories 256
    off treadmill run #2: kilometers 8.26 minutes 55:27 mins/km 6:42 calories 473

    wa jud ko malipay aneh doh....mabuang ko...depleted na ako energy source inig afterwork kai mabuang kos akong duty...wala day-off-day-off...

    Last saturday - tried to have 30kms, LSD, cut it short to 21K+ kay more on walk na lang ko, naluya ko sa kainit and grabe akoa singot(not the usual amount of sweat during my previous runs). Kagahapon unta, resume sa 30kms na LSD, kaso nanakit akoa lawas pagkabuntag, early signs of flu. Paeta, pahuway na lang tibouk adlaw. Maayo na lang, nakadagan pa kagabii for an hour pero at a slower pace. Mag vitamin C overdose sa ko karon, para makadagan ugma kay holiday.
