We had our christmas party in here. There were about 20 of us and most of them women. We wanted to have a good place to party but not so far in the city so we picked this place. It was okay and not so crowded. When we arrived, we noticed an old man (probably in his late 50's) trying to assist us in settling down. He provided most of the basic necessities like getting us a "sugbahan" and we even asked him where we could get water for drinking. He was okay although he was a little bit tipsy. As the day progressed, he kept coming back to our place and kept on asking if we're okay. My officemate even asked him if he was an employee of the place and he said yes. My other officemate brought her cute baby. What was quite odd was that the o"old man" kept asking if he could take the baby. We promptly refused since he was a stranger and we don't know him that much to entrust him with the baby.
Early evening, my boss and her husband went home ahead of us and left us there. But before she left, she instructed me to be on the lookout for the old man. She even told me that "naa pa ta kuha.onon nga sukli kai wa pa cla kahatag".
The old man kept coming back and by this time, he was already drunk. We prepared to go home since everyone wanted to go home early. Just then, the old man, asked us why we were taking the gallon of water. We told him it was already paid. He told us that we can't take it, so as not to make any more arguments, we left it there. After that, a much younger guy, asked the old man not to bother us anymore. But the old man got angry. He told the other guy that he's not done yet. They were arguing. We left pretty quickly because we don't want to cause any more trouble but the old man followed us even outside the gate.
The other guy called for another person to help him but no one came, when they came outside the gate, they were still arguing. We were really scared this time, there was only one guy among our group and he was getting very angry. The argument escalated and it turned ugly, the younger guy punched the old man and he almost fell into a ditch. Other onlookers wanted to join the fray but was stopped by a woman.
We were appalled because no one from the resort tried to control the situation. There wasn't even a security guy in the area. After the experience, we were shaken and vowed never to go back there again. My boss called the resort the next day, and asked to speak to the owner. The woman who answered said that the owner is not around and the old man is not an employee of the resort anymore. We were shocked because the old man did a lot of things in the resort and wasn't reprimanded even once.
Just sharing. d nako ganahan jud didto.
