why nursing at USC not among the best in cebu?
USC is focusing on programs that are essential for the economic growth & development of the Phils. which is mainly the science & technology courses. Hence USC is responding proactively to the needs of industry, commerce & trade and national economy to develop high caliber engineers, chemists, physicists, biologists (some will pursue medicine), economists, sociologists, business analysts, accountants and lawyers.

There is an over supply of Phil nurses and caregivers thus in hongkong, europe, US, canada, australia, new zealand they brand filipinos as domestic helpers coz majority pinoys abroad work as nannies, caregivers and nurses which rich countries consider such profession as personal caregivers and domestic helpers! My aunties in US & Canada are discouraging my nieces. nephews to pursue nursing instead its better to take medical tech, pharmacy, biochemistry, biotechnologist which are highly in demand in health care, pharmaceuticals and services industries in US, Canada, Europe. lets change the impression of north americans & europeans that pinoys abroad are; "las muchachas y los muchachos" pinoys are talented people, we can do better than this and we deserve higher stature!
